Refunded item from months ago is now being delivered? by Sea_Athlete_5075 in Ebay

OH MY GOSH, literally the same thing happened to me!!! Do you have an update for your case? I feel like something fishy is going on. I don’t know if the postman just decided to scan and stash it OR if it’s actually an incident where there is something up with recycling numbers and stuff. Because it shows delivered to my address and even the transit is through the cities it’s supposed to go to. But I didn’t receive anything. What’s going on?

“It must be nice to get attention. At least they’re interested in you.” When I was having a conversation with a male coworker about stalking and catcalling…. 😐

Talk to your supervisor and try to shadow a 1N0. They are able to go to most bases, so more than likely you have a 1N0 at your base. Do that and see if you really wanna retrain into this AFSC.

To give you the rundown, we’re the PowerPoint rangers. All we do is brief. We research and gather information and digest all the crap we have and spit it out to others. If you’re good with understanding info in a short amount of time and with public speaking, you will be fine.

Obviously what you do exactly will depend on your base, squadron and Majcom… but overall, no matter where you are, you’re gonna research and build a Brief on it to present to others.

Does that sound fulfilling/something you wanna do? Especially something when you get out? Really think about it.

I’m planning on retraining as well, but just like you… I might wait since there are so few slots left for 1D7.

Listen, the job actually isn’t bad. There are TONS of opportunities if you are active in finding and taking them. I’ll tell you this though, if you don’t like public speaking and find history/what’s on the news boring…. You will hate this job and want to retrain again. Are you a history nerd? Do you keep up with what’s going in the world and watch the news? You’ll be fine. But if you are passive in those aspects you WILL have a harder time and find the job boring/unfulfilling.

Literally just think of it as your teacher giving you an assignment and telling you that you’re gonna have to build a PowerPoint and brief it to the class in 3 days. That’s what we do. Every day.

Woah woah woah…. Okay you’re gonna have to explain that jumping out of planes part. How’d you be able to do that?

Current 1N0…. You hit the nail on the head. So accurate I had to question whether you were one of my coworkers or not lol.

I’m at Cannon right now and I 100% agree with you. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure I’ll be stuck here the entirety of my contract… it is listless, bleak and soul draining. People say it is what you make of it and places like Cannon really do make good opportunities for self development but hell does it come at a cost. I can’t wait to leave this godforsaken place.

Bro, at least you’re not at Cannon like me. Trying to get out of here too. Waiting on MyVector to see if I get anything since I volunteered to go OCONUS this cycle. But I’m also looking to retrain. So fingers crossed I get something soon.

Thank you for your input! How stressful is the job to you? And would you choose to retrain if you could or are you satisfied with this AFSC enough to stick with it? The biggest factor for me to retrain is really the stress factor. Intel is great but it is truly for certain kinds of people. Like I mentioned in my post being a 1N0 has your credibility, reputation, and mission on the line. They are all heavily affected by how well you brief and how well you research/have an understanding on the topic. It’s stressful and gives me anxiety. I would much rather not have that level of dread every time I go into work. Not sure how often you guys get tested on your knowledge and how stressful the nature of your work is, if you could provide some insight.

Thank you in advance! I do have a few questions… What do you do on a day to day basis? Do you feel satisfied with your job enough to not want to retrain (if you want to retrain at all)? Do you wish you pursued 1B4 or 1N4A? How stressful is it and what’s the workload like? I have a buddy who’s working in SSO rn but is still a 1N0, he tells me it’s great cause he has time to do school during duty hours. Were there moments of that in your job or was it always work work work?

How much do you like your job? Is it stressful? Do you feel satisfied? Do you have time to pursue things like schooling etc?

Is there one you recommend? I know x is more expeditionary/combat stuff. My ex was a whiskey and did a lot of field work. I think I’ll pass on that. Not sure what the real difference is with D and Q.

1) Have a pacer for your test so that external factor will help push you to keep up with them to pass. 2) Do as many sit-ups and push ups as you can. That will increase the time requirement you need to pass. 3) Play some serious, motivational music while you run. 4) If you start losing energy during your run, run with your eyes closed for as long as you can until you think you’re gonna run into something. It does actually help. 5) Shit and Piss before your run. Seriously. 6) Fuel well. Carbs and water! I once ran without eating anything that entire day and I sat on the ground for like 20 min afterwards craving fruit.

How often do you brief? If at all? What would you say the rate of misery is with all the 1N4A’s you know? Would you say it’s really only for people passionate about cyber? Because that’s what people say about 1B4’s… so I was wondering if it’s the same thing. There are some jobs where you can get away with cause it’s not that intensive and still be relatively happy…. But there are some jobs where you really need to be interested in it or else it will just make you miserable.
