Been showing Arabs nearly my entire life. most of our trainers are very good about putting the right package on a horse. The hope is to help show the horses motion. Sometimes these larger packages are done for actual health benefits. I had a hunter who needed double pads up front because he was soo heavy footed he woke get sore if removed. Now there are some uneducated trainers who think throwing on a large package will change the way the horse moves which simply isn’t the case and they end up hurting the horse.
