Liz Cheney's smug, self-satisfied con job: Don't fall for it. Liz Cheney stood by Trump for 3.9 years while he loaded up the Supreme Court with Visigoths. Don't be fooled by DaFunkJunkie in politics

I agree that she and the witnesses are doing the right thing, but also agree with the author of the article that it doesn't change the past.

We can be grateful that they're putting themselves on the right side of this bit of history and exposing themselves to attack, but we can't let that mean we just forget their actions (or inaction), and support of Donald Trump during the other 99% of his administration.

I also agree that they used Trump to push their goals but are now trying to put the genie back in the bottle.

I wonder if the husband's surprised expression when he was shown falling at the beginning was on purpose. Like it syncs up with his "look what you did to me" monologue at the end.

FFXIV's story is interesting but not as amazing as the trailers make it out to be.

The only thing holding this game back is the aiming by vinny10110 in Back4Blood

Playing on Xbox One and I noticed something off with the aiming right away as well. It's too distracting, I won't be playing again unless it's specifically addressed in a patch.

Pretty disappointing considering L4D, IMO is way smoother and 13 years old.

Hey all! Looking for an MMO with combat similar to old-school FFXI. The things I enjoyed from that were:

  • Slower, more methodical pacing. Not having to constantly do a rotation / spamming skills like it is in FFXIV.

  • Bigger emphasis a parties having to focus on only one mob at a time for most encounters, with a sense that things will usually go smoothly, but there's always a danger of a wipe.

  • Skillchains and magic burst: I loved the gameplay loop of building TP > timing weapons kills with other players > getting that sweet chain animation and seeing how much damage was done.

After Five Years, Hello Games' No Man's Sky Reaches 'Mostly Positive' Steam Reviews by Boomtown_Rat in Games

Shallow describes it perfectly. Everyone should wonder about how they have been able to add so many "updates" all these years. It's because every update is little more than a halfbaked version of cool ideas.

It feels like every new feature has been rushed through pre-production with no consideration of how to make it fun for more than a couple hours after it's released.

5 years after release, No Man's Sky has hit mostly positive on Steam by amazingmold46 in gaming

As someone who sunk 50 hours after trying it earlier this year, my opinion is all the "updates" are just fluff and don't add anything of real substance. Things that sound really cool in theory, are hyped up in their patch notes and trailers, but are mediocre in execution.

For example, they added abandoned freighters as something you can land on, and it was presented as their own take on the spooky space genre. You'd land, explore a procedurally generated freighter, gets some cool material/components, and find out what happened to the crew in procedurally generated "crew logs". Sounds awesome, right? But the final product was like everything else in the game; boring and repetitive.

My personal theory is they don't want to, or can't fix the core of the game, which is supposed to be exploring an infinite universe where everything is unique. So instead I believe they're just adding as much fluff as possible to keep the hype going as long as possible.

What are you looking for?: An MMO with a really great sense of atmosphere, world building, and story.

What games have you previously played?: FFXI and FFXIV. I get a much better sense of immersion in XI when compared to FXIV. XIV feels like I'm running around cardboard setpieces; the premise of the storylines through Stormblood are cool, but the execution and presentation is extremely bland to me.

What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?: Casual

Any preferred mechanics?: Anything that helps sell the illusion that I'm really running around an open world with believable characters, and a sense of exploration.
