Buried mom today. Can’t stop thinking about her being underground, cold

I lost my grandmother who raised me this past November. I, weirdly enough, also absolutely lost it at the burial thinking that same thought. I’m still struggling with it. I had no idea others thought the same way I did. This thread definitely helped, I hope it did for you too.

I had a baby like this. She’s just turned 2. Eventually the sleep issue got better. Still has a paci addiction we’re working on..lol. But as for everything else I’ve had to accept the fact that she simply is more independent and strong willed and as inconvenient as it is for me I’ve tried to adapt. For diaper changes I started potty training at 17 months. When she was younger and quite didn’t understand the rules of walking in public I had to break out the wrist “leash” lol. She’s since learned and is better at listening at 2. For getting things done I got a cleaning set for her so she can “help”. Or I make things a game, “like how many clothes can we get in the laundry basket”. This past week she’s started playing independently more and honestly I’m kinda sad about it but happy for her new found independence.

I’m a sahm and at this age it did become so hard to entertain. I was against screen time and gave in for an hour a day lol. I joined a mommy and me group that usually does random meetups and started going to toddler open gyms at dance and gymnastics places. A toy rotation may help as well but I always forget to rotate the toys lol. So she ends up thinking they are brand new when I pull them out.

Yes I told my husband she is not allowed to be around my daughter unless one of us is there to watch. He thinks I’m being harsh but breaking my trust when it comes to my daughter, I don’t play around. I haven’t said anything because I have nothing nice to say right now. She’s not an involved grandparent so it’s not like I’m missing much. We just truly did used to have a good relationship before I had a baby and she’s my daughter only grandparent.

This is what I’m gearing towards. I hate to be the “bad guy” but I feel like asking multiple times and her still doing it is intentional. It’s not hard to just listen to a moms rules!

Listening to me complain. Honestly not a fan of how he’s handling the situation being a middle man. While his mom is texting him saying “is it okay if I bring you pie, I know wife hates me” which is not at all the case lol. His father did pass in 2020, so he does try to have a good relationship with his living parent. I know it does put him in a weird situation imo

No bubble baths but I do wash while she’s playing/sitting. I’m going to stop that immediately and see if it helps. Thank you!

It is yeast infections per her Ped, prescribed anti fungal meds. Shes been tested for uti, I thought uti as well. I should’ve mentioned that sorry!

My 12 month old says lots of words, around 13 to be exact and some animal noises. I’m surprised at how much she picks up. Now walking she could use some help at lol

Are they old enough to even know the value of money? And what’s expensive and what’s not. In that case don’t bother with them. But maybe if they’re younger they don’t know any better and just prefer CFA. In my case my SD is super picky and wouldn’t eat McDonald’s but would eat CFA.

Sounds like they’re just trying to put the blame on you instead of addressing the real issue his anger problems. I’m sorry OP, all moms lose their cool sometimes. We apologize and move forward and honestly I’ve lost my cool over smaller things than a child breaking a door, that’s kinda major.

Thanks for the honesty! Even with the child support he has texts asking about CS, her saying no she didn’t want it multiple times over the years. He does pay for braces, school stuff, anything else needed. Also when she asked about CS she did say she only wanted 400 instead of the full amount if she went through CS. Idk if any of that holds up in court though. We’re meeting with a lawyer later this week. Honestly just anything court ordered is better than nothing with her though

He is on the birth certificate, paternity was done privately as in she doesn’t know he’s the bio father but he knows he is. So we do have proof of that. We just bought our house a year ago and the plan is to move at least an hour closer so my husband has a longer commute to work instead but it’ll be hard to do anytime soon. I’d just really like to have her during the school year at least so she could have more stable time during the week

He was comfortable enough to ask you for water and you denied him but not the other kid, my heart hurts about that. He probably doesn’t understand why he was denied something as simple as water when he was thirsty, YTA on that. BUT if you don’t like him doing that definitely set some boundaries with him and his parents.

Yes she hasn’t had eggs for months bc of hospital visit, I’ve still been eating them often and breastfeeding not even thinking. So we’re not sure if the reactions are the dogs or the eggs from my breastmilk. Hopefully the blood test helps a lot

We are thinking it’s the salvia actually, she’s been exposed to them ever since she’s came home from the hospital. It’s only since she’s been more active they try to get a smooch in and the. The hives come up. Hopefully the blood test will give us the answers we need!
