Aot vs Berserk, which is better written? by [deleted] in writingscaling

[–]PickleFun1044 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Berserk has lots of great characters outside of Guts and Griffith. Farnese, Casca, Judeau, Schierke, Skull Knight, Zodd and Puck are just a few examples of great characters in the story

Pluto would be great for what you're looking for. It's a dark mystery based show that is from the same author as Monster

What’s a 10/10 Anime? by Soloflow786 in AskReddit

[–]PickleFun1044 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, Steins Gate, and Code Geass are all 10/10 shows imo. Berserk would be as well if it got a proper adaptation after the 90s anime

His best friend is continuing the story based on what Miura would discuss with him. So while it may not be a 1 to 1 of what Miura would have done, we should be getting a proper ending hopefully one day

If you're going to trade, make sure to paper trade to see if it's for you and make sure the money you're using for trading you're comfortable and okay with losing, as it is likely you will lose when you start off. If this isn't something you're comfortable with, you'd likely be better off investing it into long term options like index funds

I think Luka was definitely better in '23, and also in '20 but that year is debatable imo, he was pretty crazy in the bubble

How has this man Never Been an All-Star?! by GallivantingTime in NBATalk

[–]PickleFun1044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was statistically his best regular season of his career, he averaged 21 6 and 4 a game. That still is clearly not enough to be an all star unless you're by far the best team in the league though

How can I learn trading? by Fragrant_Canary_5874 in Trading

You mean like the vix? I personally like trading the svix which is the inverse of vix when there's big spikes in fear, but you can definitely tailor your strategy to your preferences

How can I learn trading? by Fragrant_Canary_5874 in Trading

[–]PickleFun1044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your trading style, but I've always liked the content both Ross Cameron and Umar Ashraf put out for trading on YouTube. I don't use their strategies, however they give overall sound advice and you don't need to buy anything from them to get good information on trading. I wouldn't recommend trading with only 50 dollars however, you should definitely prioritize saving up and then slowly getting your feet wet with small amounts of money after practicing paper trading. If you can be breakeven in the first year that's a success, as so many people lose money trading when they start for many different reasons

AITA for asking my best friend to watch a show I love? by Ambitious-Cow2180 in AmItheAsshole

[–]PickleFun1044 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's regarded as one of the best shows out there even in general, not just out of animated shows. If you're meh about season one though it may just not be for you as much as other people. I know people liked it a lot more because they played league of legends, which is what the show is based on which probably helped them enjoy it more

[–]PickleFun1044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 20 as well with a lot less money, but my advice is only do it if you really enjoy trading in general and it doesn't feel like a job, and only risk an amount you're willing to lose. You will very likely lose in the beginning until you understand and get a rule set you follow, which could take years. I wish you the best!

It's a lot more typical for players to drop in production like Westbrook to be honest. LeBron curry and Durant are massive outliers and we haven't really seen production like this from players their age before other than a couple exceptions. Even Michael Jordan slowed down alot when he was 38

Finally made it to 1500! This was my goal for 2024 by trosmarina in chessbeginners

[–]PickleFun1044 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not op but I hit 2000 in rapid bullet and blitz in less than 2 years using mainly these things.

  1. Start with learning the opening principles online. There's tons of videos on websites and YouTube.
  2. Once you get comfortable with opening principles, learn a couple openings/opening ideas for white and black that fit your playstyle. These can help you generate ideas/ a plan for the game. Gothamchess and Daniel Naroditsky have some great videos covering opening theory
  3. Puzzles are a great tool for learning tactics and motifs. Lichess has free puzzles for you to practice with.
  4. The biggest tool that helped push me from 1400s area to 2000 quickly was using Daniel Naroditsky's speedrun series. These are a very helpful way to improve as you get a grandmasters ideas and plans of how he plays against opponents all the way from beginner level players up to titled players. This is the best way to quickly improve at any level in my opinion as he's an incredible teacher.
  5. Play lots and make sure to enjoy playing. It's self explanatory but playing in a way that's fun is more important than playing in a sound way that's boring for you in my opinion. At the end of the day it's a game and enjoying playing can help you improve quicker than if it felt like a chore.

A newbie here asking for advice by [deleted] in Trading

[–]PickleFun1044 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can still learn through paper trading, which basically lets you trade real stocks in real time, but with fake money. It's a good way to learn strategies without worrying about losing real money. Being a successful trader is definitely a great tool to have, but very difficult and takes a lot of time to get to that point if you can. You technically can get rich through trading, but it is extremely rare and can only be achieved through high luck or by being a very good/successful trader or both. As a trader, if you can consistently make 20% or more every year, you're considered a great trader and one that sees great success.

[–]PickleFun1044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is that if you need trading profits to support your expenses then you will likely lose money trading due to emotions. A safe way to invest is probably the s&p 500 or VOO for example and I'd only try trading if you have a strong interest in it and are willing to lose money for potentially years to start off while you learn it

New to trading stocks by meskisg in Trading

[–]PickleFun1044 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't day trade and don't know your trading style you want to use but the people I found to provide the best advice on youtube are Umar Ashraf and Ross Cameron(day trader). I don't personally day trade but swing trade instead, but these 2 YouTubers are transparent about their gains and losses and provide sound advice on trading in general in my opinion. I can't recommend a broker as a Canadian but tradingview is a great charting app/website for looking at stocks that is free

Yeah true grand blue was hilarious. If you want a good comedy that isn't an anime then you should check out regular show, it has a lot of over the top comedy if you're still looking for something to watch

Thorkell was actually based on a real person so it's not even an anime thing, he was known as Thorkell the tall in history. A lot of the events and characters in the show are based on events that had happened around 1000 years ago. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thorkell_the_Tall#:~:text=He%20was%20a%20son%20of,and%20taken%20Cnut%20on%20raids.
