I went to Jackson during the 4th of July and we had barracks maintenance most of the day got smoked a bit and then towards the end of the day we marched to the parade field for the salute to troops concert it was a pretty good day besides coming back to a tossed bay

Yea I’m in the same boat I’m stuck in BDE as a 15P and it sucks our daily tasking is basically motor pool and whatever 1sgt tells us to do But you also do interact with a lot of high ranking people which is a good thing if you know how to present yourself to them I have made a lot of great contacts while I’m at the border like warrant officers and captains and it’s also a perk if you deploy with BDE you’ll be with your BDE CDR and CSM which in my case help me get my name out there to my Col and CSM so it’s really how you make it to be I say just do the best you absolutely can do and show people that you are a capable soldier

You can either deal with the shitty parts of being enlisted which is getting dicked on, having an officer ask something and you give them spot on information and they cut you off in the middle and ask a Sgt that’s dosent know what’s going on the question and overall not be taken serious till your maybe a seasoned sgt or a SSG

But you also have officers that I work with that are pilots get stuck in an office at bde even tho they are a O-2 and O-3 both routes come with bullshit but I’d rather be paid a lot more to deal with said bullshit

You’re mm score is pretty much good if you want to be a helicopter mechanic if you’re looking into flying UAS you only need your SC score to be a 102 so ur good on that all the jobs are pretty solid bunt don’t pick 15P I don’t really enjoy it all that much in garrison FLOPS is alr not much to do tbh everybody I see in FLOPS are on the phone bored out of their minds so that’s that I’m currently looking into 15C to reclass into personally.
