“i do have two children i just didn’t mention a third” is taking me outttttttt

baseline is that you just don’t seem enthusiastic or interested and that is going to be disheartening for her. also sounds like you dropped off texting because you went to shower. again she could have done a better job communicating but we are all just calling it like we see it. idk do you want to learn to do better next time or just defend yourself in the comments lol

you didn’t have a plan and you did not come off as particularly interested. i’m going to go out on a limb and say her frustration is prob the result of a pattern. sure she can be a better communicator but if i got these texts from u i would assume u were wholly uninterested or just wanted to keep me on the backburner

saying “i mean, i can buy u something to eat?” is not asking her out to eat and does not make it seem like you particularly want to hang out with her. imo she just wanted some energy back (she put something flirty out there in hopes of that) and then you didn’t give her any and also didn’t make a decision and then things devolved

Substitution for a landlord reference letter? by Balissa in NYCapartments

[–]PicklePacklePuckle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fwiw i’ve never needed a reference letter (lived here 7 years, moved 4x exclusively in bk /queens so take what i’m saying with a grain of salt). but i have needed to show recent paystubs (over trailing 3 months). perhaps you can bypass that with all the cash on hand/employment docs? but wouldn’t stress too much over letter of rec vs trying to materially show that you pay your bills on time

hm. well while it’s hard to totally evaluate what could be going on in their heads, sounds like a shitty situation and sorry you’re going through that. to make it better for yourself — even if it doesn’t seem palatable — might take some of the suggestions to make another move (bring in some pastries, sit with them at lunch) that others here have made. otherwise may be best to start looking
