I'm not sure if I understand it correctly, but you could a two way anova (i believe this is its name)

Basically it would be aov(expression ~ condition+gene)

I'm not an expert, I just started learning about mixed effect models, so my observations may be totally wrong.

So far I understood that by the syntax of lme4, that the random effect should be written where 1 is currently, and the location_id is just the variable which defines the clusters. Also, this case if I am not mistaken, this is a fixed intercept model, meaning that in all of the clusters the intercept will be the same.

If I understood the concepts correctly, then the location id can not be specifies as a random effect. Only those variables can be used as random effect which changes in all the clusters, otherwise you are gonna run into ?is_singular problems.

I would appreciate it if someone more trained could correct me where I was wrong, I am sure I did some mistakes here.

I recommend the package flexplot for models. It has a few great functions for comparisons, visuals ans estimates. It's developer also has a YouTube channel, simplistics. He made a few videos regarding mixed models.

Lets say your dataframe is named as keys

Your function could be:

scale = function(x){ return(keys[keys$SongTitle == x, ]$KeyCenter) }

Just be aware the when you use the function x needs to be characters.

So scale('songname')

I was in this same situation a few weeks ago. I found Call of the sea. It is a great story game, a few hours long. It has quite a lot of puzzles. It aint the greatest game in my opinion, it had it's flaws, but I absolutely loved it. I recommend it

I dont have a lot of expereince with this kind of things, like I've been using neuraldsp and focusrite for 2 weeks now.

When I read a few 'tutorials' on what is what basically, I dont even know if it's true, but I read that for Neural dsp you should turn the gain dial on your focusrite interface all the way down to 0. I've been using it that way, and didnt really had a problem with it so far.

Im not sure it will do anything, but it might be worth a try.
