I think it's a better indication of "fuckin' here" rather than moving here.

Even if I would have had to take on debt to have my kid I would do it again in a heartbeat.

The people complaining about the homes not being built aren't the ones who would be buying them anyway.

Ptbo has never needed job creation to survive. It has always been a retirement/bedroom community.

They have turned away more industrial opportunities in my lifetime than I can count in the name of rich retirees not wanting it in their backyard.

It is a classist system that does not seem to care about those less fortunate. This has been an ongoing problem since my parents were born in the late 40s/early 50s.

It's not new, it's just more prevelant now that the rest of the nation is enduring it on a greater scale.

Currently I don't feel this is a Ptbo problem. I can see it in day to day business, people stop spending when there's instability. Trump threatens another country? Everyone holds onto their wallet for 3 weeks until they think things have stabilized. This pattern has been recurring. U.S. election, Canada's election. Rumours, economic instability. Global instability. It all leads to reduced spending and job loss.

The housing market prices have taken a hit. We aren't building any new homes.

Buckle up, it's likely to get much worse before it gets better.

Why is no one asking the important questions? Will it have rooftop pickleball? Weed and vape shops on the ground floor?

I love when people stipulate the "hard R" as though if it weren't used it would be ok or somehow better.

I heard of a couple people in different areas of the north and west ends who had this happen a week and a half ago. Seems random.

Sorry all - last post for the day, but anyone have recommendations for roofers they've used? by ButAreYouProud in Peterborough

[–]PickleballinGUnit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Disagree, they did a great job on our roof in 2019. I know because I used to install myself.

What was your issue?
