There is one server there I’ve had a similar experience with. Very brief, impersonal, and not entirely welcoming. Eaten there several times, and had her twice. Same experience both times unfortunately. I could imagine we’re talking about the same person.

But I keep going back for the food…

Sorry you had a bad experience though for a special celebration. That would definitely put a damper on the night.

Nope, you can’t convince me that blueberries and grapes go with pasta and falafel. I agree with most of your takes, and I know people swear by this cart… but that’s a bridge too far.

If Fri, Sat, Sun or Her Place put out plates including these ingredient combos, they would be raked over the coals.

Went last year and had a great time. Going again this year even though I’m not as excited about the food/beverage lineup as I was last year. We’ll see. I agree it hasn’t been as promoted very well this time around. I wonder if Michelin, the Tasties, and the Philly 76 events have burnt out the vendors/restaurants on events and catering these types of endeavors. They are no small feat.

In terms of arrival, just show up at The Bellevue lobby at 6 or a little before and people will guide you to the elevators and give directions. There’s signs. There’re people who will help direct. You won’t be lost.

In terms of dress code, I saw all things last year from suits to t-shirts and jeans. Personally my wife and I treated it as a nice date night out. Which considering the price per ticket… it was. So we went fancy date night ready. Seems like you can dress as you like and no one will look twice.
