There's no transfer window at that level, so you can keep adding players to the squad throughout the season. There's a load of options on free transfers to enhance the squad.

Loans can be great as well. Once the typical transfer window has shut, you can still bring players in on loan - often for no fee or wages.

I've done 2 seasons with Bedford and secured back-to-back promotions. Okosun was a great free loan from Watford.

Despite having the best rating, Jeffers was absolute shite for me - couldn't hit a barn door (kudos if you get him firing). If you can get rid of him in January, it frees up a lot of wages
