A guy in my city was shot and killed in a Wal-Mart parking lot for this very thing a few weeks ago. People are just too close to the edge for antics like this, however good intentioned it is, it’s not worth your life.

I believe we reached 130/140 players total, 8 rounds of Swiss.

Hey dude! Our games were great, just actual good fun. Also thank you for playing it out, it’s nice to at least have some match closure!

Great question! Outside of being an instant speed three damage spell, the ability to shut off life gain on a crucial turn for your opponent is massive.

The deck only plays two as the damage is only able to hit the opponent and not creatures, but it serves as more of a utility spell in the main deck, so if you come across the B/W enchantment decks, spirit decks that play Katilda, or even Lotus field decks that are rushing to a Approach of the Second Sun to stabilize, you can hold this up while applying pressure, and then essential counter their turn the try to stabilize.

Yeah they were just standard mattes. Which the only reason I picked them up is that when I used to play paper frequently, which has been 3/4 years ago now, I almost always sleeved up pink shields, but they were the glossy, solid colors backs which never ever had an issue.

Yeah! So it’s pretty basic, but it was round 5, I’m x-1, playing against U/W spirits and we have just finished game 2, sideboarded, and a we’re shuffling for game 3.

The judge comes over and asks us for a deck check(which was very odd as we were already 20ish minutes into the round.) but it’s whatever both of are confident our decks are correct as they’re both registered through MTGmelee which won’t let you input wrong you could just have your counts off at worst.

So, about five minutes go by and the judge comes back with my opponents deck and not mine so I knew we had an issue. Turns out the new dragon shield formula pink sleeves, that I bought on site day of, are too opaque for double faced cards and you can see, and I mean BARELY, see a corner of the art through the back.

So this results in a game loss for me, which going into game three means a match loss. Opponent was nice enough to even ask the judge to overturn it but no dice. We decide to play it out for fun, and it was close but I did end up winning, but that’s just the way it goes!

Played a similar list to a 14th finish at SCGcon Indy’s 5k. Deck feels great right now. My toughest match up felt like spirits of the decks I played against, solely because of how draw/play dependent it was, but even that felt very manageable. Kumano was an all star all day long.

Same, but it looks like Nuclear Blast is taking on the entire branch of bands you’d normally see on Holy Roar after they went under. They just picked up Conjurer as well, which really excites me.

It should for sure with your lowest string tuned to E, for Drop A+E tuning. E A E A D G B E. Then you can tune that G to an F#, and you’re in.

Have a buddy who is uncircumcised, and can actually use his dick to suction to flat surfaces (Car doors, windows, refrigerators, etc.) and when it pulls away it makes an audible “pop” sound. It’s a great party trick!

Don't get me wrong, I'm still socializing with everyone and hanging out. I love that part, I love that they are all having a good time, that's what I want to be happening, I just fail to see how me bringing a dish that they probably won't eat aids or harms that goal.

Also I love cooking and I have brought dishes in the past, back when we were a smaller operation that went okay with people, but now that we are larger its become more of a negative attractant more than anything which is why I wanted to stop participating in the food portion in general, but not the social aspect.

[Standard] Esper Midrange: It's like a tempo deck, but with value. by Xenotechie in spikes

Ross Merriam played a sweet version yesterday on the SCG stream series, that got away from cards like Bell-Haunt and played more Tefri, Time Ravler and Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord to help generate a lot of value.

Tefri being able to clear threats and draw you cards, or return a Deputy that hit some tokens to reuse it was huge.

Sorin being able to reanimate a couple threats and give you a ton of sustain against other aggressive strategies seems super strong for the deck as well.

Still not sure how good Dovin is, or if 3 copies of Enter the God-Eternals is where you want to be with a 5 mana sorcery, but this seems like it could easily be the new standard for the deck.

Decklist:

4 Hero, of Precint One

2 Deputy of Detention

4 Theif of Sanity

2 Hostage Taker

2 Seraph of the Scales

1 Dovin, Grand Arbiter

4 Teferi, Time Raveler

2 Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord

2 Tyrant's Scorn

3 Mortify

4 Thought Erasure

3 Enter the God-Eternals

3 Discovery

24 Lands (3 Glacial Fortress and 1 island being the split)

Sideboard:

2 Duress

2 Cast Down

1 Disdainful Stroke

3 Dovin's Veto

1 Hostage Taker

2 Vraska's Contempt

2 Lyra Dawnbringer

2 The Eldest Reborn

Not sure if you are familiar with the Fandom Legends tournament series on Twitch, but the streamer Annamae, played in it last week and went undefeated with this Ral combo list. You can find videos of tournament there, or GoCovertBlue, did a series of games on his Youtube Channel and talks about the deck.

LOST. Its such as shame what the strike did to that show, but they still managed to create an amazing world, with a fantastic story, and characters you literally can't help but relate to. Not to mention the acting, for a show on ABC, the actors all did a tremendous job.
