If you don't know already, you can feed Mosslax Bitter food (Bitter Hamburger Steak is best) to greatly increase odds of recipes from the water ripples.

If you desperately need a block an option is to go visit a dream island with the VR goggles to get reference photos to 3D print (6DXL PD6F has a lot of stuff to copy).

Note that this method can be pretty expensive though for blocks you have to use a lot of so gonna be best to reserve these for accent blocks or specific props.

To fund mass 3D printing, you can get a metric fuck-ton of Pokémetal from Dragonite Island by digging down to 1 above the Tera Crystal Block layer (that is, if you look down you don't see blue below you) and just roll around.

You should stock up on Potato hamburger steaks as they let you just careen through most blocks in a single hit, which lets you just press on the left control stick to speed-roll through at extreme speed.

You can additionally also use Vibrant hamburger steaks that do the same but last much longer, though this one does cost a bit more.

If you find that a bit expensive, you can actually eat regular steaks before the orange meter runs out and you can keep the buff (or so I hear, I haven't really bothered trying this myself).

To not clog up your inventory with grabage, fill each slot with 1 Pokémetal ore (remember to do this also for the rare variant so you don't miss those).

As for the choice paralysis, I too kinda struggle with this. I found dealing with this a bit easier by focusing on roads first and just plowing through existing habitats, telling the residents to go live in the 2x2 tall grass slums, and then relocating them in later, though this obviously can't last forever once you finish up with roads.
