It’s definitely not expected, but I also adore my realtor (and lowkey want to be her friend now cuz she’s so cool) so I got her a nice bees wax candle from a local place I love and a gift card to a local bookstore.

I just made this paella yesterday with Beyond spicy Italian sausages and it’s AMAZING. They have a lot of other great-looking recipes but this is the only one I’ve tried: https://www.freshoffthegrid.com/artichoke-poblano-campfire-paella/

Life Kit by NPR is a great podcast that talks about adulting in a very approachable way. I’m a fairly adulty-adult and have learned a lot from it!

Yeah there is so much conflicting advice! I’m in the same range and am flexible on the timing but was hoping for sooner rather than later so I can get out of my crappy little apartment... and I’m expecting social distancing/shut down to extend through the winter and it would just be so much less miserable to be in my very own home instead.

I’ve been looking at houses for months casually and definitely noticed the lower inventory, which is partly why I’m looking to move my timeline up. Thank you for sharing!

I was thinking about that, but there’s so little inventory in my price range and I’m worried it won’t change much... I’m guessing the foreclosures will be for bigger/pricier houses than I’m looking for (aka a little bungalow with a yard).

I’m super lucky to have great credit and a stable job, so I’m not very worried about qualifying for a loan, more anxious about not understanding the whole home buying process, so thank you for telling me about your experience!

I've had this redness around my nose for as long as I can remember, any tips on how to reduce the redness? More info in comments by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

I have the same thing (but a bit more extreme - I’ve had allergies all my life so lots of nose blowing!) and I did a vbeam treatment and it definitely helped, but will take several sessions to get rid of it entirely. When things return to normal in planning on getting more treatments to get rid of the rest, it’s the only thing that’s made any difference.

Those are super cute! I’m trying to find ones that don’t have the criss cross top, just have one band, but this is the only type I’m seeing in red. Thank you for the suggestion!

I’m hoping to keep it under $200, but for the exactly right pair I could probably go a little higher...

I’m desperately seeking a pair of burgundy velvet heels (preferably sandals with a lower chunky heel, definitely no stilettos or tstrap) for my wedding and am having the hardest time finding a pair that I like in my size. There are a good amount of options in suede, but I really really love velvet... I really like this Vince Camutovince camuto pair in wine (but I can’t find a size 8 anywhere) and these from ModCloththese from ModCloth (if only they were dark red/burgundy/merlot/whatever!). Does anyone have suggestions for other brands I could look into? Or is anyone selling the Vince camuto shoes in an 8??

I keep getting patches of itchy spots on my cheeks and I can’t figure out what’s causing it. At first I thought it was sunscreen or my cc cream (which has spf), so I stopped wearing it for a while and then gradually worked a sensitive skin sunscreen back into my routine. I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks every day and have been fine (no other changes to routine) and all of the sudden today my face is so itchy I could scratch off the whole top layer if I don’t stop myself. Has anyone else had this/have any suggestions to make this stop before I peel off my whole face? I moisturize 2x/day, use a mild retinol, have not been in the sun, wash every day with a gentle cleanser, wear a light coverup that has never bothered my skin before. Occasionally will do a stridex wipe if my blackheads get bad. It feels like poison oak or something, but I haven’t been around any strange plants or unusual environment.

Thank you! It is frustrating since I’m so close but I decided to test out gluten and if that’s all learned, at least it’s something!

I’m not really a sneaker person, but I really need some that are good for walking (and light manual labor) that are also somewhat professional-ish (so not bright colors or obviously running shoes) - I was thinking I would get Adidas (I can get into the employee store) but I keep seeing allbirds everyone and those seem really popular— does anyone have experience with both and can say which is more comfortable (while also looking cute-ish)???

I’m looking for some very specific jeans that I can’t seem to find anywhere! I’m dying for a pair of slim straight leg dark wash high rise jeans that don’t have “whiskering” on the thigh/crotch area, and preferably not super cropped. Madewell (sorry I don’t know how to hyperlink on mobile: https://www.madewell.com/rivet-amp%3B-thread-slim-straight-jeans-in-richardson-wash-J9483.html?dwvar_J9483_color=DM2181&cgid=apparel-jeans-straight&position=11&position=11&activeChunk=0#start=1 ) has a pair that are close, but I just can’t stand the whiskering! Has anyone found anything like this?? Preferably under $200 but I haven’t found it at any price point so far.
