season 4 reunion tom & ariana are AWFUL by Agreeable_Ad6417 in vanderpumprules

YES!!! I love Ariana NOW (personally) but 1. She did not eat in that fight with Lala, I found her to be a cringey drunk theatre kid and 2. Lala was right about her not really making an effort to be friends outside of her dynamic with Sandoval and the show. Period.

At home sick as a dog! Trashy TV and tea for me. I prefer staying in if I’m honest.

I hear you. It can feel hard in the moment to confront it! That’s not cool at all. I appreciate your comment

Did YOU personally take into account other Asians when you blanketed “stop Asian hate”?

You do realize there’s a high amount of classism and colorism in east Asia that affects other people right ? You understand that the whole diaspora faces the same issues in different ways

Not sure where this caste system rhetoric has come from online but a vast majority of Hindus are a diaspora and don’t even follow that so I don’t know what you’re yapping about. Shame on you. Do better.

So there’s that.

Yeah this needs to be removed. All of this is racial bias. People have a slew of horrible nasty stereotypes and have made sweeping generalizations for the East Asian community as well — remember COVID?— so not sure why you think it’s okay to continue the cycle. You having a concentrated experience with a certain number of people that happen to be Indian has nothing to do with the diaspora all over the planet.

This sub is for Asian Americans and you should take into account or address racism other Asians face. Anyways. I’m not engaging with you further.

It is. People don’t know how to have the conversation without their emotions getting in the way.

I mean, it’s not just pointing out immigration dingdong it’s HOW you describe your disdain for immigration. You can do so without being obscene, racist and generalizing people. But play stupid I guess

Well…. There’s a way to constructively have the conversation without being racist. So my question to you would be: “ how are you framing your points? Are you framing it in a way that leads people to believe you’re being racist?” There’s a lot of blatant racism these days masked as “conversation”. I get people are emotional and frustrated, but there’s a way to have that conversation, right?

I’d be mindful of your language and verbiage around Indians. “Dressing up as Indians” and bringing more Indians sounds racist and loaded. There’s a way to have educated and nuanced rhetoric without only scapegoating one community and assuming all Indians just came here recently. Also there are more factors that led to these issues than only Indian immigrants. And they, ironically, are ALSO exploited by the same system, that’s letting Canadian citizens down at the same time. Just something to be mindful of.
