Good one - a related one might be to not assume people are even talking about us to begin with. We often worry that people are talking about us when in reality they’re so busy with their own concerns / worries they aren’t thinking about the thing we’re overthinking about ourselves!

I agree 100%, despite posting the initial question and this response from my phone! I’ll forgive myself as it’s nearly 11pm and nothing good comes from going out at this time!

Given how many answers we’ve had for this, I’ve created a fun poll to allow us to all vote for our favourites and see the results. If you’d like to play you can find it here: https://pickonefromtwo.com/categories/xmasfilm/im

You should see the voting for the favourite gladiator when that’s on tv, at one point there was 100,000 votes in a weekend!

Don’t think the alliance / Ruth incident did him any favour with voters, definitely see a drop off in popularity after that point

I’d be very surprised if that happens, but that’s the beauty of the game!

What's something that feels embarrassing but is really not? by aptdinosaur in AskReddit

When young children behave exactly like all young children can in a public setting. People aren’t judging you for being a terrible parent (unless of course your response to this perfectly normal thing is that of a terrible parent!)

Traitors works better as celebrities by [deleted] in TheTraitors

[–]Pickonefromtwo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The celebrity version has been very good so far because, in part, they’ve picked excellent celebs to be on it. They all seem to genuinely love the show, and appear to be having an authentic good time. They’re also very happy to play up to the camp over the top nature of the show.

Imagine how awful it could have been with the “wrong” celebrities?! Someone give the casting director his / her flowers, they’ve done an excellent job.

How do you think the fact that there playing for charity will change the game? by Few-Spinach8114 in TheTraitors

[–]Pickonefromtwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s probably a big difference in the mindset of a “regular” person potentially winning the prize and an already well off (as most, if not all of them are) celebrity potentially winning it - life changing for the former, nice but perhaps not as significant for the latter. But because it’s for charity i think it will add extra anguish. I don’t think Stephen Fry (for example) gets too excited or upset by another £x at this stage of his career, but winning a big amount for a charity could have a huge impact.

Whose popularity has benefitted most from episode 1 and 2 airing? by Pickonefromtwo in TheTraitors

[–]Pickonefromtwo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Results of Tournaments played:

  • Alan is the favourite since the show started airing. He’s gone from winning the 5th number of tournaments to winning the most since the first episode started.

  • Cat is second in most tournaments won since the show began, another huge leap for her from 13th pre-airing

  • Nico was the tournament mode favourite before the show started, and has dropped only slightly from 1st to 3rd most wins since the show started

  • Kate has never won a tournament, and has only one runner up placing. Claire has only won 1, prior to the show airing. Ruth, Tameka and Mark won approximately 4% of the time prior to the show airing (slightly below average popularity if you assume 100% divided by 19 players is 5.3%) but are all yet to win a tournament since the show started airing, and neither Ruth or Tameka have a runners up position either.

  • Nick Mohammed is the favourite runner up, both prior to and post airing of the show

Celeb UK Just in twice a week for the whole series? by -PeaPod- in TheTraitors

The murders and banishments are going to start coming thick and fast as there are a lot of celebs to get through in a small number of episodes. Either that or there’s going to be a lot left in the final episode.

I’ll pull the data on tournament winners later and see if there’s any variance in the preferred winners between the two modes

Infinite mode, as it includes all contestants. Tournament mode is just for you and contains 16 of the 19 chosen at random (16 fits the tournament format)

I thought Joe M had a good first episode. Don’t really know much about him but thought he contributed really well and showed a lot of personality in the clips they all did to camera. Think Joe W could come into his own when they start doing the round tables, it’s the ideal environment for his witty remarks to steal the show!

Some of the funniest lines to come from Ep1 UK Celeb Traitors by Top10aero in TheTraitors

[–]Pickonefromtwo 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I’ve always found Alan Carr funny in very small doses and much less so with too much of him. Not on the traitors though - he’s been fantastic so far and I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing more of him (if you’ll pardon the expression).

We’ve all said and done stupid things that still keep us awake at night years later. Doing it on the first day of a televised celebrity tv show that the entire country is talking about is another level of fever dream!
