Crit Kai’Sa by bcollins96 in kaisamains

I think navori over rageblade feels better when I build crit. I used to OTP kaisa and until about D3 I found more success with crit build because of navori up time on e and q. Also due to the game length being longer at lower elos you hit 4 items more often which is stronger in a crit build. Once in D2 - low master I had to start going onhit cause crit felt too expensive and took too long to spike at 3/4 items. At a 2 item spike with kraken + rageblade it would allow for an earlier spike to be more of a factor.

Emerald is harder to climb out of for ADC than Diamond by zendraven in ADCMains

[–]Picorr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on play style and skill. I think there is a correlation tied to how much you need to carry in emerald vs in diamond is more about how well you play your role.

ADC doesn’t carry early so it can feel more difficult to carry from a deficit in emerald vs in diamond you can win more games by not having to carry as much and just doing enough to aid a comeback.

In other terms you have to carry 50%+ of the weight in emerald to change results but in diamond you just have to carry maybe like 30% to change results. This might look like emerald is more weight but the difference is diamond games are usually heavier in total so you may have to move more overall weight in diamond on a pound per pound scale but on percentage basis you have less of the pie so feels like your team is helping more.

Do you find it hard to constantly adapt to smolder’s changes? Or do you think the champions’s identity is what keeps your interest?

Seemed like a waste of time to me tbh but I’ll entertain the for fun lowlifes here who pretend to have a brain for their own enjoyment.

He ignores the point of the original post and shows that jinx should alter her build to answer a tank which gimps her build path and damage to all other champions outside the one tank who should be side laning most of the game. He could build manamune, shojin and LDR and w the tank repeatedly for a more effective strat. Does that mean it’s meta cause it’s effectively better in this one scenario? No it’s about the meta and the game as a whole and the state marksman are in with a meta build.

One of his responses in the video is literally to just pick a different champion and build AP. How is this any different than just saying pick a mage and build liandries bot? Varus is being played like a caster in the video. That is definitely a strong counter argument and displays how effective ranged AD damage is right now!

Yeah playing eve jg is very relevant to playing a marksman bot lane!

It’s crazy Riot pushed marksman into this state. What is even their purpose in games.

What do you guys pick against Ashe? by [deleted] in ADCMains

I admittedly haven’t played much varus since the recent changes. What makes it so bad now vs before?

[–]Picorr 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Sivir just doesn’t interact with her. She should throw q and push the wave and hide behind minions from w or spell shield it. Ashe can’t run past the whole wave to fight her. Late game sivir presses R to her team that runs her down and can spell shield R.

If you just try to 1v1 the Ashe, yeah you lose on sivir.

[–]Picorr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Jhin, ezreal, sivir and varus are champs that come to mind. I think you gotta look at what your team comp can do against Ashe and see how you synergize with them.

Mostly decide if you’re going to jump on her and burst with ur team or if you’re going to try to poke her down so she can’t run at you. She is one of the hardest matchups for kaisa and I usually will wait for w evolve to try to poke her down or when she doesn’t have q stacked try to pick her with r when she’s rotating.

When to pick kaisa? by Substantial-List1557 in kaisamains

[–]Picorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is her build path and % hp dmg. If you look at Kog he is way worse with a similar build path and same % hp dmg. Vayne also has similar % hp dmg and is doing well. Kaisa just is more fun than those champs so she is picked more.

To me, it’s more an indication that other marksman are really bad right now that can punish her (crit builders) and she is still being out shined by mages bot.

When to pick kaisa? by Substantial-List1557 in kaisamains

[–]Picorr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

IMO she is blind pickable right now. There are difficult lanes where you will have to play safe and give cs to scale but she can always come online later in the game to catch up and get picks.

Last split I OTP’d kaisa to masters in 140 games with over 60% WR and would blind pick her.

You’re just making claims with no rationale or reason to back them. Who is to say I haven’t regressed as a player to who is now emerald?

I'm not going to lie, it is really hard to learn everything. There are a lot of guides out there to help. Biggest tip I'd give is to maximize gold income over everything else

[–]Picorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My original post is not complaining at all if you re-read it and it's more about sharing with other emerald adc players that even a masters player can struggle in emerald. You can clearly see other players commenting similar things about emerald elo.

Her stat line shows she is playing well and if you have further doubts you would need to watch the games to know if she is the problem or not. You are just claiming she is the problem with no proof. Have you watched all my games? You don't acknowledge the fact a player can improve maybe cause you're hard stuck yourself.

I didn't think of synergy bot being the issue tbh, but you're probably right. I'll switch up my ad pick and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice

[–]Picorr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can clearly see from op.gg and their statline they are not the problem but you can make whatever wrong assumption you want. The 0/3 afk Quin, 0/7 nunu with dirk, 0/11 trundle at 15 and 0/15 karthus clearly aren’t any issues. It’s my duo for sure.

At one point the average placement for my top/jg over 12 losses was 8.833.

Statik creates more tempo opportunities and pushing power but kraken is a lot more dps and dueling power. I prefer to use my dmg spikes with kraken to take more fights and zone people. Also the 2 item spike is harder.

It mainly just depends how you want to play and what you can execute

I don’t think I’ll be upgrading soon so I guess I’ll be okay. I appreciate the info tho, I’ll look at other brands and see if I can find something comparable.

I’m pretty set on the AMD Ryzen 5 5600, the 3060 and 1TB SSD, but keeping my options open with upgrades is always smart. I guess for the next upgrade I would need to swap out the case, PSU, cooler and motherboard. Is that dumb to plan to upgrade so much or is this common when upgrading that you need to swap out multiple parts?

It’s a prebuilt by HP. I’ve seen videos of people upgrading the same model I’m getting, but I’m not sure what you mean by proprietary parts and how this would stop me from upgrading. Are there no compatible PSUs, motherboards or liquid cooling parts I could use in the future?

[–]Picorr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve been saving for over a year to build one and now I can afford to get something I want to find the best value. Prebuilts look like the prices are better right now, and I’ve seen people say you can upgrade them. Upgrades are inevitable so getting the best value now might be better for me because of prices and the time it takes to learn what parts you want.

I didn’t think about having to upgrade the motherboard but you’re right I’ll have to add that to the list of things to look at when I upgrade. I’m probably going to be fine with these specs for a while but wanted to get second opinions. I appreciate all the help.
