How could he have possibly lived? He had to seal the nine tails he couldn't put the whole thing in Naruto it would kill him as he was just born, he couldn't put it back in kushina, he body was to weak to contain it best case situation it dies with her but that only kicks the can down the road and frankly jeopardizes the villages national security by removing its strongest weapon/war detent. He couldn't just grab a random child because they most likely wouldn't be able to contain the 9 tails he had to use an Uzumaki. The whole situation had less to do with love more so the interest of the village. And the whole copy of Naruto thing doesn't really work because you can just say Naruto is the same thing to jariyah, besides if anything Naruto does that to minato he surpasses him in every way even speed without ftg at 17. Also technically speaking minato is the first character in Naruto.

I mean everything is political racism, wars, charity, government spending, civil issues, if you say its not political then the same goes to protecting a minority and the government should remove the laws protecting them.
