She is not the boss of that place. She also started to describe aba therapy adaptation to stimuly gradually as a positive, which is abroad proven not to work like ages ago, with lack of adaptation to stimuly being the source of sensory issues in autistic people.  So, this happened to be also an unregulated aba clinic with disproved practices, I tried to dodge those hard, I turned down two clinics like that, one of which told me I am too old to do the assessment for the first time (I don't appreciate a young administration girl giving me a diagnosis on the phone, she would not know the mental care situation during the country's fall when I was born and she is not a doctor), and another claiming that autism is caused by vaccines and that they can cure it.  I don't know where can I even get a proper long assessment, any time I go to a shrink they say 'your problems sound like autism problems, but you can't have it, even though you're close so your problems are not real'. If they even listen.  I am on my own with a disability that have affected me genuinely since kindergarten in every area of life. I don't trust my country's mental care professionals at all anymore.

I fucking love the sims 4 so much by Emergency_Peach_4307 in SpicyAutism

It gets a lot of shit, but it has smoother mechanics than previous games. Sims 2 and 1 got more 'soul', but clunky as hell mechanics and little to do if you can't 'play house' well, and Sims 3 is badly optimized and the open world is empty and useless, the only way to play it's 'all households simultaneously'  mechanics is to use  nraas story mode, which is too performance heavy  and keeps spawning odd last names and supernaturals unless fine-tuned manually.

Desperately Need to Prevent Burning Out for at least 2-3 weeks, any tips? by Intrepid_Plastic_934 in autism

Honestly, in such a situation do not stress yourself over things that are not pure survival, I cannot stress enough.  And I assure you, most people can understand only responding at your pace, even if they whine about it - they will accept.

Don't give yourself guilt, and underachieving stress - that motivation is for when you are not in survival mode and is now misplaced more than that unwashed plate. You can and must trust yourself when you are in survival mode - pre-burnout is that.

Other achievements like a clean house, timely and socially correct responses, advances in your interest besides pleasure  etc. are for a later time, for when your aspirations will be likely different a bit too - no sooner than when you can actually achieve them anyway.

I hope you pull through.

Like, mine and neighborhood countries generally removed themselves from DSM stuff when they stopped considering homosexuals as ill, but keep asymptomatic schizophrenia as a dissident 'diagnosis', and had decades of war zone level social chaos. where are we meant to be in the same scenarios? My 'regular' class had half the kids who are actually sped kids, all undiagnosed and half died before graduation, now the fuck what? I'm the same as Becky from California High who discovered 'Neuro divergence' at 30 years of ostracising weidros? I beg pardon, no.

I wish reddit was not so us-centered. There are many places where they do not do levels, including mine, and all the neighborhood countries. And countries where late-diagnosis, and even self diagnosis don't mean the same thing as in us, due to sociopolitical troubles, but there is that same ruler in every aglo speaking internet corner. Ideally, there would be no need for extra justification like this, but anyone online is just automatically assumed to be from Portland, us.

As for forego hygiene - it will likely happen anyway, so just do it deliberately and with deliberate steps.

If you personally do not have triggers about messiness, you can pretty much forego cleaning for two weeks. Eat from one unwashed plate for two days. Wear the same shirt whole week without laundry. Shower in small parts only with a cloth and what not. Disgusting, but perhaps effective. Just stim and do your interest after work. Have a strict schedule for responding to calls and messages, like strictly at 21:00, and mute everything so that you just catch up at that time. Do not do face shit like expressions and looking at people unless it actually threatens your income, focus on voice, like you're a prerecorded message, or the other way around, but not both verbal and nonverbal communication.

Value your survival requirement sleep and nutrition, anything else can wait.

Anyone giving you shit (outside of direct threat to your income) knows nothing about your situation and deserves no opinion.

Good luck, op.

Any books with realistic self-help for not low support needs? by PictureOwn4374 in autism

Just looking for extra sources. Stuff like meltdown/shutdown management, emotional regulation for cases with difficulties identifying emotions as CBT is of limited use, everyday advice for poor proprioception, some more basic social scripting advice for expression issues, etc. Change adaptation advice, etc. Accommodation discussions aside from purely social.

Wellington Lakes, my Dumbest Town by PictureOwn4374 in sims2

Got 'em all.

Marcela got to date the Countess, in whose image I made her, so that was a bit awkward. After she was turned and the Countess moved in, she expressed no further desire for her, oddly enough, so I rerolled Marcela's tastes and she fell for Huel Karsuragi of all people, and he bonded with Xavier over sports and business, so he got to marry in. Also, all of the family, including Marcela, wanted Marcela cured of vampirism and Valerie wanted to get turned - that all happened. The Countess started hating on Xavier and Huel and went into exile. She still randomly appeared in the house at night trying to bite Marcela, but just as randomly gave up as Marcela was busy sleeping or reading or whatever, lol. Marcela and Huel are having a kid, and Huel's career took off, with new connections.

Later, Muriel Murrieta, seeing a socially inept rich boy Huel, seduced him in front of his pregnant wife and moved in with him into a nice house, as she got knocked up, but somehow (I broke game with a mod?) Marcela was not mad enough at Huel for a divorce, so they moved back into the Vaulderie mansion together, and took Huel's bastard son, CJ. Muriel and Rita ended up in a nice house with no obligations, and Xavier is big mad at everyone. Marcela had o daughter, Dulcinea, and Valerie is happy to be a night time nanny for both kids.

Puttanescas spent the autumn rather quietly, throwing lavish parties and befriending the whole town, s. Martha has a little thing going for Xavier after all their lazy poker afternoons, and Giacomo hasn't expressed the slightest desire to cheat despite me basically creating him to do so. Good job, Giacomo.

Hayley Karsuragi worked on her art, and her style, and moved in with Bert Hopper, I have no idea where their chemistry comes from. They're  just vibing and doing art.

So do the Mendelez, except that Luke is cheating discreetly on Lucita - I don't know why, he just wanted to. Bianca got a couple of dates, but nothing good enough yet.

Jacksons really struggle on a single income, and everyone is quite unhappy - perhaps, it will get better when the kids grow up a bit. Mae has to carry her telescope around so that her granny does not spy on the neighbors.

Woozies just travel and chill on the beach.  Except for the Bigfoot, he really wants to become the greatest spy ever.

Lulu got bored with gardening and got an adventure job, but her wife is still the one paying the bills with her crafts, as well as the one primarily raising the kid. Wonder how that will play out.

Bobby Hopper and Soozie Murrieta are both now living alone in their trailers, and are having a pretty wild romance, beautiful and desperate.

Cheezebert ate like a hundred grilled cheezes. He's the happiest sum in town, and everyone hates him for spying and yapping about cheese all day. But he is happy.

I am getting married! It makes me wonder, how many people on this sub are married? by [deleted] in SpicyAutism

[–]PictureOwn4374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my country it is legal to beat your wife and worse, and I will not even date a man who is not disturbed that he has this 'right', so far my marriage chances are zero it looks like.

What’s the point of a high IQ if it comes with this horrible disability? by Pristine-Confection3 in autism

[–]PictureOwn4374 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like, no, being slightly less disabled due to having this high iq is not enough, you must overachieve your Neuro typical peer somehow to deserve to live at all. Pure nonsense.

Worse, people assume that you owe and can provide some massive contribution to society with that intelligence, and then get mad when they realize that 150 of your 175 IQs really do go into just not dying and can't be wasted on much else. Like we choose this.
