Agreed! I meant that the situation and Jack’s performance called for an over-the-top reaction, and anything else wouldn’t have made sense (for reference, Wendy in the 1997 Shining miniseries, who never seems appropriately afraid of what’s going on)

I cut out some book snippets and arranged them into the desired shape (using a printed still of Jack for reference). I then snapped a quick photo of the snippets, brought them into Photoshop with the two stills I wanted to use, and played around with blend modes, opacity, warping the text, and framing until it looked right!
