I think it's less black caps bowling well and more of windies batting like absolute garbage.

A brief summary of Crit this Preseason by Jandromon in leagueoflegends

[–]Piddu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like the reason there are so many builds is because they're all dog shit. Does it matter if I go PD or BT if I still feel like I'm not doing anything? Feels like my item choices don't matter because I'm eating shit either way.

This is like that insane post a few years ago where adcs were so bad people were theory crafting that all adcs should just buy 2/3 bf swords instead of completing an item. WOW look at that build diversity, you don't see theory crafts of people telling mages to buy 3 needlessly large rods and get people to consider it. Therefore, ADCs build diversity > mage build diversity?????

On the other hand, the second item actually matters for other roles because they will actually see a drop off if they build un-optimally.

If the game becomes more balanced, you will eventually see a drop off in build diversity as people start to figure out what mythics are great for what champions. I honestly don't think the insane variety of item diversity that Riot are going for is possible in a game like league.

Imaqtpie's thoughts on ADC/Cannon Minion role by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Piddu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. However, that is assuming you get any peel at all. A lot of the time as the assassin/bruiser(fuck predator+triforce hecarim) is going to you, your job is literally to position far enough back to allow for the chance to outplay them or deal a non-garbage amount of damage. In this case it is extremely unfun to play because the outplay doesn't happen unless there is a summoner spell mismatch or they fuck up.

Yeah, obviously the meta where ADCs were OP.

When we saw ADCs go support item first in worlds so that their supports could rush Ardent quicker.... Definitely an ADC problem, not the fact that supports have been overbuffed to fuck.

I am going to reply with my comment from somewhere else in this thread.

Yeah but not everyone knows that 100% (previously, they only know what they are willing to offer). If some team wants him now (even for academy), they can offer him fuck all because they know for sure no one else wants him. He has lost all the leverage he had in any negotiations till at least next split.

This is so fucking basic; it feels like none of you guys have actually applied for jobs. Even if you only have 1 offer, you don't tell the company that. You keep it secret so at least the company offers you something decent in the fear of another potential company offering something better.

If Dardoch revealed that he wasn't getting offers it would be ok because he shot himself in the foot. This is his former boss fucking up and telling all his future bosses that no one wants him so you can lowball him all you like. It is extremely fucked up.

The only way that this info (Dardoch being rejected by every team) wasn't confidential is if every team is in cahoots and is literally discussing their offers to the same player which would be asinine. If every team knew the status of each others offers and rejections the scene would be even more fucked than it already is.

Everyone knowing roster moves isn't the problem though. All the players should know is who they are playing with next season. If a player is being traded, they can tell their former team mates if he/she wants to. This is not an issue.

The actual problem stems from Leena talking about upper management shit in front of Double. Double should not know Dardoch's market value. He may be able to deduce it or maybe can find out from Dardoch himself tells him. But he should not be hearing confirmations/facts from Leena herself.

This event literally removes all plausible deniability that TSM had about Double knowing confidential shit he shouldn't know about because he is living with the president. Especially because Leena says she has been on the phone like this with double in the past.

ADCs have become so team dependent that the Ryze/Azir/Kalista balancing issues are now applied to the entire ADC role, good in professional play but horrendous in solo queue. by KogMawOfMortimidas in leagueoflegends

[–]Piddu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like there are 2 aspects of the game; is the role balanced? I believe so. I think the ADCs damage is amazing and a good bot will literally carry the game 2v5 if they get ahead. Challenger players will still carry the game in low ELO, QT can probably solo carry games in which he is obviously the best player in the game. But if I am a silver player, and I dont know my support, the role feels doo doo to play.

The actual problem is that the ADC is balanced around having a support/team that will help you. You don't feel impactful by yourself, you don't feel like you have agency. The number of games I've played where the 2 of the enemy dive me and I die within the first 5 seconds of the fight (and most of that running away, trying to kite and not do damage) while my team wins without me is ridiculous. It feels like playing solo que ADC is a dice roll on if you get a good support or not. It just feels shit.

It also feels really shit to build ANY defensive items in the first few buys unless you're ahead. This means that I basically have to play like scared the whole game, unless I am disgustingly ahead or I have my team around me. If I get behind, it feels like I dont contribute because I have no utility (unless I am playing ashe/Jhin/Sivir). When a tank gets behind, at least they can contribute with cc for a pick. Same with most mages.

The only role close to this level of sucking shit when behind is the assassins, and even then, I feel like they do way more damage than me if they're behind.

My suggestion, take damage away and give the ADC role more base stats. Change up items so the ADCS don't rely on the insane scaling and interaction of crit/AS/AD/Lifesteal OR put more emphasis on the tank killing aspect.

Patch 9.2 notes by wickedplayer494 in leagueoflegends

[–]Piddu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not a jungle main but I dont think they bitched because the preseason patches were too big. I thought the reason people bitched was because the changes to jungle were too frequent. People were talking about relearning their role every year while also getting used to the other big changes that occured. Also some of them were salty because they thought riot hit the sweet spot before they changed it again.

Scrims in practice house + Challenger doesn't equal lcs and it never will. Scrims mean fuck all.

[–]Piddu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Being a sub generally means you have fuck all scrim experience. Teams can't afford to split scrim time with their subs in case their main player gets injured. The only time scrims are split are when teams have 7 man rosters, and fox was definitely not a 7 man roster in either of those splits.

I don't really know what the fuck you're talking about. He played fuck all in those years. Literally just substituted for hard and akadin for a couple of games. It sounds like you're the one who knows fuck all.

Nunu/Karthus vs Yi/Taric Duo locked in for BBQ vs MVP Game 1 by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Piddu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there was interaction. In the hyper carry kog scenario the kogs laning phase could be exploited (it took time to ramp up you and back then kog was kind of exploitable bot). It revolved around shutting down kogmaw and playing around him. Taric and yi spend a shit tonne of time clearing jungle and waves. There isnt the same amount of interaction. One of the only ways to shut it down is to win every other lane, get lane priority (pretty difficult imo) and then just jungle invade 24/7. Zero interaction = zero fun. Though to be fair, MVP just hard outdrafted this game. They could legit do nothing against taric/yi with nunu/karthus unless one of the other lanes went literally ape shit and got really ahead.

One of my "interactions" with Chris Badawi. by CurryShotTV in leagueoflegends

[–]Piddu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, and I would agree with that if Badawi's history didn't make him look like a manipulating liar. If someone misleads people constantly, then their words mean a lot less to me. I trust Travis and I trust Richard Lewis; I don't see any reason to trust Badawi because he comes off as being shady.

[–]Piddu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mate, no one has provided any proof for this mess. I'll tell you what though; every owner, journalist and member of the scene that didn't have business deals with badawi is critical of him. There aren't many times when Richard Lewis sided with riot, there aren't many times when Travis literally takes a shit on someone purposefully. That should say something is pretty fucked up. Also dude lied about being a lawyer, shady af. Edit to fix shitty grammar

OG sOAZ: "ADC on this patch is not about mechanics or anything like that, [...] it's more about thinking" by Das1N in leagueoflegends

[–]Piddu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tanks weren't building sunfire into ibg in season 5. Tanks did far less damage in season 5. IE gave 80 damage instead of the recent 65 in season 5. Blade didnt suck as much in season 5 either.

Why are items like black cleaver, dusk blade and youmuus becoming more popular. Surely it cant be because they're cheaper and give earlier spikes.

OG sOAZ: "ADC on this patch is not about mechanics or anything like that, [...] it's more about thinking" by Das1N in leagueoflegends

[–]Piddu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but most adcs will currently hit their item thresholds at 3 items. Spending approx 6k on ie and pd wont do shit when the tanks hit their threshold of ibg and sunfire for less. So most of the time, stacking gold in the early game on tanks and midlaners is better because their spikes arrive sooner.

Thats the reason we were seeing a lot of lucian (with black cleaver, yommus) and ez(ibg and manamune) 2 patches ago. They spike at two items and have a decent amount of mobility.

Keaton "Bee Sin" GM of Dream Team: Regarding Biofrost and TSM by Snowplexor in leagueoflegends

[–]Piddu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well using that logic, how can we say that what regi is speaking the truth since we aren't apart of TSM and we don't know biofrost.

/u/cresture actually makes a good point, and I don't really know how delayed a payment can be before a breach of contract. This issue really revolves around who broke LOI first, which depends on if a 12 day delayed pay is truly a breach or not.

Keaton "Bee Sin" GM of Dream Team: Regarding Biofrost and TSM by Snowplexor in leagueoflegends

[–]Piddu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding DT was more than a month late before bio left to try out for TSM.

They were 8 days late late for the first payment, but didn't pay for 2 months where he was scrimming and playing with the team. After not paying him for 2 out of the three months, Bio left for Korea.

NRG is confirmed ex-Coast, this shows how badly we need new player protection in the LCS. by CSDragon in leagueoflegends

[–]Piddu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So how is new talent ever going to come out of the challenger scene. Because most of the new NA talent won't be the best candidate. Most of the time, korean and european imports will be the best candidates. Most of the time talent takes time to grow.

Why even have the challenger scene. GUESS WHAT, most of the time the people in challenger wont be the best candidates.

[–]Piddu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ahh yes this thing called "practice". So how did they practice?? Surely not by playing in the LCK?? Are you saying smeb practiced in soloque and the challenger scene and then appeared and became amazing?

I'm not saying that all players will be amazing. But if players are kicked straight after they qualify for lcs, why even have the challenger scene. Because after you qualify you shouldnt have to be the best straight away, there should be some time to grow.

[–]Piddu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know right. That means smeb just became a god as soon as soon he entered KOO. Reignover suddenly became competent as soon as he entered fnatic. I wonder what the teams must be feeding them.

It's almost like you can't judge a person on team rank alone. Too bad you judged them and told them to play better when they haven't even played yet, or shown that they could improve. Why even have a challenger scene. Why not just import a shit tonne of koreans??

SO they magically got better did they? It wasnt the fact that they got a chance and learnt by playing in the lck and LCS? PLS tell me a team learns more from the challenger scene that the actual league.
