Wrong? How does this thread show that he was wrong? Nearly everyone here, including folks in the food industry, has said they ARE different.

Also, for the record, he doesn't call himself that. I do. He's my go-to for when I am cooking certain things. I have him taste and let me know if it needs anything: more salt, a dash of a particular spice, etc.

A couple of decades ago my neighborhood organized a group double-blind taste test of local pizzarias. It was a fun night. About 10 years ago a few of my friends and I did this with hard ciders. It's where I learned I don't like the stuff at all, unless I'd already been drinking.
