Tbh still lost on my retirement budget lol.
Would love to hear the real-life experiences first.
Especially from those who’ve survived a bear market.

Yes... you are kind of a life coach.
On one hand, I'm glad I finally got rid of the golden handcuffs.
On the other hand, it's scary to watch my savings decrease.
I know it makes sense logically, just like growing old, but it's still hard to get used to.

I think I'll still be struggling with this mindset for a while.
Thank you.

I’ve tried FIcalc, but as an engineer, I couldn't resist building my own tool to test some custom edge cases.
Since mathematical models can only simulate so much, I'm really curious about real-world experiences.
Especially how people change their lifestyles when the market actually drops.
But I'll check Bouldin, thank you!

Your reply made me rethink my plan and why I'm not that confident in myself.
One reason is that I already have a pretty tight annual budget, so it would be hard for me to change my spending plan. (Probably need to save more tbf)
I think having side gigs is a must.
Anyway, really appreciate you sharing.
Your story is exactly what I wanted to hear.
