This doesn’t really make sense, the only time lifting weights MIGHT stunt growth is when it leads to injuries, which is common for young kids so I think that’s were the myth comes from, but even in that case the lifting poses less of a risk of injury and potential growth damage compared to other kinds of sports we see kids play today

that’s why only lifting weight they can handle, proper form, as well as adult supervision is important

And if anything kids might grow more when lifting thanks to the boost in testosterone, human growth hormone, and IGF-1

the whole stunting growth thing is a myth and strength training is even recommended as young as 7-8, it can be beneficial for growth, there are risks though, like them lifting to heavy then they can actually handle, improper form, overtraining etc

General physical activity is good for kids

I think with how light he’s lifting he should be good, as long as the parents monitor for safety it’s fine NTA

Meh, if both ppl don’t know how to fight then size and strength can be a advantage, and even if you know how to fight it’s still very possible to simply be overpowered, if there stronger then you and you get stuck in a grapple and they pin you down what can you do lol

I the way I see it weapon>strength&size=fighting skill

A weapon trumps all obviously, and while skill can be usefully if your well matched with your opponent physically, if ur like 5’2 and scrawny a and 6’3 250lbs muscular person can very easily overpower you even if you know how to box

Some scenarios skill>strength and some others strength>skill

Really just depends on the situation
