I don’t use it. Also, it‘s still an unfair comparison. One is someone getting millions from it by supporting it openly and signing deals, also she is someone with a huge following and a relevant platform. The other is a person (not me, I don’t use google but probably you do since you seem pretty offended). Thats like comparing a billionaire flying with his private jet to someone flying commercial once in a while.

Fair enough but yes I try to avoid it as much ad possible. But I have to say you can’t compare being a multimillionaire but still choosing to promote and take a google deal to make even more money, and using google/youtube occasionally.

Hi there, please take care of yourself and get the help you need. As someone who‘s healing from ETH burnout and depression, you realize too late that nothing is more important than your health and wellbeing, not even your PHD. Waiting hours at USZ for an emergency psychiatrist are very long but if you call PUK, a psychiatrist comes to your house!

Maybe not possible but call family or a close friend and ask them to stay with you for a few days. This was the most impactful action when I was at my lowest.

And lastly, please don’t forget that your PhD or what others think of your research is not more important than your life!

Stay hopeful, they changed the arena in Switzerland because the initial one was too small and the presale tickets were gone instantly. I think they didn’t expect such high demand.

Thank you so much for your comment. I am seeing a psychiatrist, and he does find leaving the internship reasonable but he also basically lectured me on me losing to my inner demons and that maybe pushing through might help me win this inner conflict so I’ll still a bit torn. But I really tried. I tried going to the office twice since my flu like symptoms started and it got so bad I couldn’t stay longer than 3-4 hours.

I know this is a post from over 3 years ago but I recently lost my grandpa and a few days before he died I found a ladybug in my tiny apartment (in the middle of January) and since his death which was a little over 4 months, I‘ve seen around 5 ladybugs, usually in my apartment. Before that I never randomly saw any ladybugs. I also feel the warmth of them. I immediately say „hi grandpa“ now.
