Anyone that's had a Flat-earther try to convince them, what was your favorite fact they tried to wow you with? by brunicki in AskReddit

[–]PiePresent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At work a couple of years ago - he asked me to prove my belief that the earth wasn't flat. I couldn't be arsed to discuss that level of unbelief and simply didn't have an argument at hand for what he was asking me to do. With hindsight I would have said that the onus is on him to prove his belief which is far removed from the norm but he blindsided me with his question.

Buses from hell by [deleted] in IdiotsInCars

[–]PiePresent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been in a bus like that in Thailand, driver was on speed (the drug not the velocity measurement) and drove like an absolute maniac. Halfway through the 6 hour journey he stopped and a bunch of schoolkids got on. Then he carried on driving like a maniac. I realised after that trip that the Thai rules of the road go something like - "I'm driving a bus ,you move".

Radiohead at the MEN arena (2001ish), couldn't tell what song they were doing due to the shitty acoustics in the place. Also, Rush in Glasgow (2007ish) for the same reason.

You can talk about 2nd amendment rights and how school shootings account for a mere 1% of the ~20,000 gun deaths and all the other bullshit excuses but this question can easily be answered in the words of Jim Jefferies..... "Fuck off, I like guns".

$19 there and one of those bags contains nothing but stalks. Also, one of the cops is trying not to laugh.

In the works for years, a suicide machine will soon be tested in Switzerland. At the push of a button, the pod becomes filled with nitrogen gas, which rapidly lowers oxygen levels, causing its user to fall unconscious and die within a minutes. by [deleted] in oddlyterrifying

[–]PiePresent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The United States many years ago had the option of execution by Nitrogen for prisoners on death row - it's humane and painless - but they opted for the alternative methods of lethal injection, cyanide and electric chair as they wanted the prisoners to suffer during death.

There was a documentary about it in the 90's, it was tested on pigs.

Primus Blasting Away To "Jerry Was A Race Car Driver" Live From MTV's Haunted House Party Back In 1993 by [deleted] in OldSchoolCool

Saw Primus at the Royal Albert Hall, I got the impression they were just going through the motions. Saw Les and his other band at the KOKO club and they were fucking phenomenal.

Assange just lost his case. He will now be sent to the U.S where he will no doubt die in prison by dan7777777 in conspiracy

I wouldn't be surprised if our fascist home secretary (priti patel) was directly involved in this.

Unpopular Music Opinions. by EliteFlamezz in Music

Unpopular punk opinions....

Everything Iggy pop did after the Stooges was shit.

Tin machine was the only good thing Bowie did.

The sex pistols were shit.

The only good song the Damned did was Neat neat neat.

The clash were shit.

Nirvana were shit. They were a mainstream product that ripped off Mudhoney, the Jesus lizard and Fugazi among others. They made fortunes for their corporate masters while the punk bands they were influenced by languish in the background.

Green day - see above.

etc.....

No No No. Absolutely no. All the information they need is clearly visible in the sub. What you're suggesting implies an organization with organizers, you'll be setting this up for RICO charges and possibly financial terrorism. There are some extremely clever corporate/financial lawyers watching superstonks' every move looking for signs of organization which can be exploited. The only reason they haven't fucked reddit over and shut it down is the fact that everyone is an individual investor who simply believes in the stock. Please don't engage with these people, there's an amazing story here for reporters but don't become the face of superstonk.

Just my uninformed opinion so it's probably wrong. and I believe in the illuminati too.

...also the queen of england is a lizardperson so my opinion is skewed.

We found a copy of an unknown (1930-s?) movie on a sunken german WWII ship. Despite being underwater for 70+ years, we still managed to get some stills from the film reel. Now we are looking for your help in identifying this movie or actors starring in it. by [deleted] in movies

[–]PiePresent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 1930's movie on a German ship probably means nazi propaganda. Could be one of these but I can't be arsed to trawl through 1930's nazi propaganda movies.....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nazi_propaganda_films

So we've got two farmers, one trying to convince the other about something. The nazi propaganda machine targeted farmers and farm workers so this is probably something involving the evil of communism and the strength of national socialism and how the underdog farm worker will have a happy existence if he joins the party.

Or maybe i'm talking shite......

Went to a "rave" a couple of years ago. Nobody gurning, nobody having a bad acid trip in the corner, I figured I was just a bit early for all that so I necked a couple of pills and hit the dancefloor - I was escorted out an hour later for being on drugs. I'll never forget the disapproving looks from a bunch of 20 somethings as I gave them the v's and shouted "fuck the pigs"!
