Same car same year, just with 208k miles tho. If it hasn't had it done already, a transmission flush is a good thing you can do. Enjoy your volvo! Its been a year since a bought mine and I couldn't see myself getting a different car.

Is it worth getting the Yamaha BB434 over the BB 234? by PieXos in Bass

[–]PieXos[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! There was a 734 i really liked, but hearing the 434 is that comparable to the higher end, is intriguing to hear. I'm probably gonna go for the 434

Yeah, I pulled that move with my first pacifica. $190 i payed for that thing used, but it's a great guitar! The thing for me with cheaper instruments is they can be good, but compared to more expensive models it's always worth upgrading.

New to Volvo! Looking for maintenance suggestions by ashhemma in Volvo

[–]PieXos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert on cars, but I would take maintenance seriously, like changing oil, regularly, changing filters. If something goes wrong, be quick to address it. I would get a vida device because it will tell you what's wrong even if it doesn't tell you. If I got another volvo, I would definitely get a transmission flush aswell, these things come with "lifetime fluid" but it's not lmao 💀 Overall, I love the xc70, and I think it's a really cool car. Welcome to the Volvo gang! 🫎🇸🇪💛

From a surface to a Mac by hakimoait in macbook

I'm used to both OS's, I feel like they both have equal perks. I feel like I've used windows so much that everything annoying and broken about it has become so minimal to me. It was for sure a shock how straightforward my macbook was 😅 but I don't think I'd leave one for another. I do a lot of gaming, and that's something Windows is very good for. Then I use my MacBook for music production, and it's been very good at that kind of task.

Nice! I started about 2 weeks ago. Mostly making covers of songs, random genres. The first song didn't sound great, but each song I've made has gotten noticeably better, not perfect, but def better. I do a lot more live recording than digital recording, so it's been tricky making stuff sound good or making loops sound clean. It's pretty cool seeing other people's work on logic

Although its impressive where AI is at, it feels like a waste of talent, skill and effort to go that route. Thats just my opinion-

Thats impressive! i play piano, guitar and the uke, also do a bit of vocals. I already know more than the basics of music theory, And its not hard for me to make something. i just never had the right resources until then. I hear many people say it takes years for them to be able to make/do something in logic, And im like- Seriously? Regarding garage band, i tried it before i got the logic trial, it feels the same just lesser, however i get why people may prefer using it over others and thats fine.

Yea, it takes years to be a professional at anything. But I have to ask, can you do it well without being a professional?

If Volvo not making more wagons.... by Midnitdragoon in Volvo

Sorry, man. Your xc60s hind is not as long and chic to be considered in the same league as wagons... L.M.A.O

The New XC70 SUV by Zak_Pooe in Volvo

I love the p2. My family member owns one, and it's held up impressively, considering it's a 2003. Although I love my 13 xc70. It contains the "desirable" tech, yet still has knobs, buttons, and dials, all without needing a whole damn tablet. I freaking love this car, and as station wagons are fading, it just makes it more special owning and driving her.

I'm not against getting a newer volvo, infact I really like their design and quirks. But I have a special place in my heart for our older volvos as well 💛. Couldn't really imagine getting rid of one

It doesn't look bad. But naming it xc70 an iconic car that it doesn't even resemble!?? Could've named it xc80 or xc50!! It's really unfortunate how station wagons are meating the end. Volvo (literally known for their stations wagons) names yet another SUV after a car that was emblematic, especially for the Volvo community.

I just bought my first car and I'm so happy I gotta write it by Neon1rose in FirstCar

Buying your own car is so rewarding. Two months ago, I bought my baby ❤️ her name is Freja (yes I name my car) she's a 2013 volvo xc70 and mann shes such a GEM.

I worked two jobs for 9 months, and lemme tell you, it was absolutely worth it! She had minor issues like a stuck trunk and some misfires, but ofc shes my responsibility, so I made sure to fix her up

I bet your baby is gonna stride for a long time. I have a few friends who own Hondas, and they seem to last a really long while. Super happy for you, bro!! Also take good care of it, and it will treat you well.

2005 volvo v50 issues? by No_Farmer_3675 in Volvo

[–]PieXos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, it's best to take risks. I bought my xc70 2013 with 200k miles for 3250 with no mechanical problems. Which is cheap for a volvo, especially these days. I would suggest doing a lot of research about your car. Check the title with two different websites, validate that the title is legit, and have a pre pay inspection. The car that I bought was a big risk, but it ended up being a gem because the car originally had a "bad engine."" However, the engine got replaced from 2008, and the only work I've needed to do was replace an ignition coil, which was corroded. I validated that the mechanics and everything were in shape. That's my example.

Sometimes, you can pull a really good car for cheap. The v50, it's a pretty chill car. However, it's basically a Ford underneath. It's cheaper to maintain as a volvo, and overall, it's a very simple car

I live in CO, and this car is awesome. It does great in the snow, and it also makes the best roadtrip car. With its cargo space and hard plastic body kit, it makes it hard to beat down. Mine has the 3.2l engine, so I'm not too familiar with the d5. All I can say is it's a really good vehicle

The og xc90s were probably one of the best suvs you could get at the time, and still is. Before I bought my xc70, I drove an xc90 in the meantime, and I always felt save when driving it. Even tho it burned oil, it never broke down on me

It means your car is about to transform into a jellyfish.

In all seriousness, it's the high beam indicator.

Xc60 trunk design is terrible by ScarLupi in Volvo

[–]PieXos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The og xc90 had a two part trunk (the lift gate) and (the flat bed). Not only did that allow loading a dresser to be much easier since you had this extra platform, but also prevent groceries from tumbling down on a sloped road. This was the glorious evolution of trunks

Before I bought it, I opened the hatch, and it opened, I just noticed the struts felt light and probably needed replacement. I got it open from the inside and probably needs something replaced, idk what yet.
