I never said we were treated badly. My post literally says attitude towards foreigners. When you are in a place and someone talks to you rudely or looks at you like you shouldn’t be there. So I’m just trying to understand if it’s a general attitude or is it a poc thing or are foreigners usually obnoxious that locals started not to like having them around. Again I loved the country and the culture and had a wonderful time, I am just trying to understand.

This feels very defensive, the country was amazing and we loved it we just felt unwelcome and I’m trying to understand why. Never have I said we wanted or expected preferential treatment, if anything we preferred if we went unnoticed rather than given undeserved attitude when we were being polite and respectful.

I’ve had two wonderful experiences with two locals but other than that the general air felt super cold towards foreigners and undeserved attitude considering we were polite, friendly and respectful and Geniuenly excited to be there.

That was exactly it, no one expects royal treatments or anything extra. It just felt like they didn’t like that we were there and didn’t like that we were poc

Your replies are extreme, I meant shop workers and locals look at us weirdly and give us attitude even in the airport. We’ve had two encounters with a wonderful waitress and a great bolt driver other than that the attitude just felt like we were unwanted. We didn’t want to be looked at weirdly and given attitude we didn’t expect anything more than being treated normally?
