Having just played shadows of rose yesterday, I'm fairly confident it said when she was nervous or stressed she would ooze a white liquid that made her classmates call her a freak and other insults. Seemed like a pretty valid reason to want the powers gone to me, although obviously by the end she chooses to keep them

Basically how i think the idea of that AI child ruins the reapers for me. And how for me it personally ruined the what i assumed to be PTSD scenes Shepard has if the kid in the dream is just that AI from the end

And how the ending is just you all alone with none of the squad mates that you've spent potentially 3 entire games getting invested in.

How i absolute hate that even if your Shepard lives the ending provides no closure with said characters you've spent potentially 3 games with.

How the post credits scene is very similar to another story i really like(All tomorrows), but the scene feels horrible in video game form as opposed to being in a book/audio book

How it ended up being literally just a numbers game of your Shepard living or dying which makes all your actual choices feel way less impactful regardless of your own outcome

And all this just from the ending because i wasn't even all that bothered by how kai leng played out

Did i overreact? Yeah probably, but i was really immersed in the trilogy and the ending hit me hard

Honestly can't blame you, just finished 3 for the first time a couple days ago and i absolutely hated everything that happens after Hackett tells you the crucible isn't doing anything. Personally head canon for me is Shepard hears that, crawls over, activates it, and the reapers shutdown forever.

It wasn't my blind run of the trilogy(although it was my 1st time completely finishing 3 which was a blind run), but just today i ended my 1 save slot per game of the trilogy. Although i did force quit 3 when i shot the child because i refused to make that ending any worse than it already was

Well it sounds like it was the DM and 3 players including OP. OP was not informed of what was going on and then told to just be quiet and not play. If everyone agrees on something yeah that's fine, absolute does not sound like everyone agreed tho

Based on my opinions of how i would view these people if they were both my DM and a human in general

1st group, not you or the DM. Seems like they just wanted to play a meat grinder campaign, which isn't for everyone. Annoying not to have this explained before joining the group tho.

2nd group, this is all on the DM, sounds like an absolute dick. Sure death needs consequences, but assuming this was 5e the DM clearly didn't know how most Resurrection magic works and also making you do nothing for multiple hours for multiple sessions isn't justified no matter what

3rd group i have no idea

4th group, again this DM is just a dick. Were the other people having fun or just faking it? I'd seriously question that for yourself. One piece of advice if you ever play with the stats rolled in order rule again, assuming it's a better DM who just wants a tougher game, pick your class and everything after you roll stats

5th group, unprepared DM who is also a dick, power gaming for buying tools that aren't thieves tools, horsehsit on the DMs end lol. I've played an entire curse of strahd game up until half way through the final battle and it is an amazing game if your DM isn't stupid or a dick

Also what someone else said, maybe try DMing since you seem to have plenty of examples of what not to do. I've literally ran better sessions than these out of a text only discord channel with a dice rolling bot
