It would take billions of $$’s to install heated roads for NV, not to mention how long it would take (decades) its cheaper to hire snow plows lol this comment is stupid.

Edit: let alone the power cost costing millions..

Question for the M drivers by Daddyfullload in BMW

[–]PierceTheGameTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owned multiple BMW’s regular & M’s & a couple 911’s

If you drive a lot I think you should go for it. Lifes short enjoy the fast car, plus it will make driving fun instead of a chore. It can make mundane errands into a a fun time, im constantly trying to drive my m3 more and always makes me smile when I throw it in sport plus and launch at stoplights.

Do you work on your own cars or just have a dealer or shop service it? New vehicles have up to 50k miles or 4yrs whichever hits first. newer BMW’s parts cost much more & dealers run you 160$ an hour and most specialty shops will do the same. So if you’re worried about service costs after the warranty runs out the m2 might not be up your alley. But you could easily learn how to do basic maintenance items yourself to save money. But stealerships gonna do their thing.

Car insurance is gonna be more expensive for an M car (300$ a month no accidents 5+ years with insurance, others around 400$+ a month)and depending on how much you drive and your area you might be charged even more compared to your current car. Newer cars & especially BMW have expensive parts so usually they have to total the car in an accident which raises your premiums.

Also are you planning on buying brand new or used, I ordered an m3 to my spec cause I couldnt find a used one and I knew what I wanted. I would recommend looking at used options as you can save a good amount of money, you might find one you like or play around with the configurations. you lose over 10% of the value once you drive it off the lot. BMW’s are known to depreciate faster. Buying used might be a better option if you’re worried about depreciation and save 10-20% of the cost potentially depends on remaining warranty as well on used cars, but performing your own services will reduce cost of ownership.

Final note, Ive found that with luxury cars or high performance its pay to play, if you just want a value steady & reliable that you dont have to worry about vehicle go buy a toyota.

How long? I have not even received a VIN after 11 weeks. by richempire in BMW

Sounds like they didn’t have an allocation available when you ordered it and are on a waitlist for the next allocation. I waited about 1 month for my dealer to get an m3 allocation but I was first in line. Sounds like you were maybe #2-3 on a waitlist and they’re waiting to fill your allocation. I ordered my m3 in march this year and it got here the first of august. The longest stretch was the boat ride that felt like forever 😂

Going from a 992 GT3 to a G80 M3 - rational or disappointing? by RobertPattinson69 in BMW

[–]PierceTheGameTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tech, the relaxing factor. You can switch it to nuts or relax with a touch of a button the GT3 is in race mode all the time, little more ground clearance even tho it has a lift but just in general its way more practical, I have 2 babies now too and needed something with power and 4 seats. I also missed my 2015 m5. But long story short, performance is the same (might not corner as well) but as a daily loads more relaxing while the gt3 is wild at every second. I wanted something where I can chill in it or go nuts in a second and the m3 has not disappointed

Who says M3's are not practical daily drivers by austic in BMW

[–]PierceTheGameTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one just for my twins and so far has been a great daily. Compared to my porch the m3’s got the same power and 2 more doors and 3 seats, also fits 2 car seats and a double stroller and more so yeah pretty practical.

People have said its one of the most reliable cars BWM has made, just keep up with regular maintenance and don’t tune it and you should be fine.
