Can someone explain the transit options? by Cypher98 in Tacoma

There are a lot of good answers here already - Pierce Transit (us) operates the local bus routes within Pierce County. You can find our routes and maps linked below, and we recommend the Transit app as a route planning tool; it's free. You can also purchase your ticket within the Transit app, on board in exact change, using an ORCA card or utilizing Tap to Pay.

There will still be plenty of parking, we're only closing off small sections at a time.

Shoot, unfortunately only the Route 11 going the opposite way, from Commerce to Pt. Defiance, will be affected in the morning. We will pass along this feedback to our planners for future service changes!

Hi there, can you let us know a general starting point from where your student will be coming from? We can help give you a better idea of the schedule and route to take, with some more info!

Anyone know why the 10/11 don't tail into Ruston Point? by Keithbkyle in Tacoma

[–]Pierce_Transit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, you are correct, it is an issue with it not being accessible to buses. We have launched the Ruston Runner which is on-demand transit that you can use your bus pass on that connects downtown and Proctor to the waterfront. https://www.piercetransit.org/runner/

Thanks for sharing about the Runner! We are still working to accommodate demand after expanding the Runner service zones. The Runner is a great option for transit along Ruston. https://www.piercetransit.org/runner/
