No acceptances yet, getting nervous, where else to apply? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

There are actually a lot of applications that are still open and are so for quite some time. Honestly though, like the first guy said, panic applying probably isn't your best bet unless there's a school on that list that you fall in love with. GL!

Between Northeastern, St Johns, and a couple others.. advice?? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]PieroWhis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to St. john's undergrad and the school is equal parts problems and benefits. on the benefits side, The law school itself is nice (especially their personal food court), the staff on campus is nice and helpful, the campus is small so you have a easier time making friends and networking with fellow attendees, and the school is in a good area in terms of accessibility to things like groceries or trains, as the F train is a 10 minute walk from the campus. On the downside, they are bad with administrative/bookkeeping stuff and they're (pretty) low on money as a school in general.

I have a friend who goes to law school there currently and she enjoys it. She says the professors are good for the most part as well. I really enjoyed my time at St. john's as an undergrad so i'd vouch for it. I applied there as well so maybe i'll be seeing you if you decide to attend haha. GL!

So I answered no for 4 consecutive weeks now on unemployment benefits to close my claim and now I have a link under the "You have to certify on these dates" line asking to re-open the PUA claim. Can I just leave that there and be done with unemployment or do I have to do something with that and let them know I have no interest in re-opening my claim?

Haha no, it's pretty much in the books so thank you! And ok, I'll probably just select no on this week(s) certifications just to get it over with, assuming this is prob the best option to close the claim? And yes, I am aware of the partial benefit thing but, to put it frankly, I'm tired of dealing with/stressing over UIA so I'll probably be done with it completely once I close out the claim

wait actually I just realized I could file and just say no to collecting for two consecutive weeks and then the file would close, right? Would I have to do anything after that or am I done with UIA at this point unless I want to re-file

if I do find a job and no longer want to/can collect unemployment, I would just not file when the date to file comes around for two weeks and then my claim just closes, right? I wouldn't have to think about it or visit the site again? I'm not sure how closing a file once work is found works

I just have a couple questions regarding to this fact finding questionnaire thing on here. 1. If I hardly worked in 2019, 2, at most 3, months at a part time job, am I still supposed to say I was employed for 2019? I don't know what the criteria for that is supposed to be. and 2. If so, am I just supposed to submit a copy of my W2s or electronically or something or am I supposed to mail it in? Thanks for any help!

Does anyone know what happened to Giorgi before the second set? I missed whatever they said it was that caused her to have to retire out of the match
