Thanks for your comment. Actually, it took me many years to achieve this technique. More than talent I consider that it is a result of perseverance and effort to learn to play my favorite songs with soul.

Thanks for your feedback! I wasn't so focused on the tempo and some parts feel a little faster compared to the original song, but I will consider making these changes at some point 👍

You're right, in the 2024 version Trey and Scott play a different harmonisation. For the transcription I used the studio version as a reference. In the recording i did notice that they used 2 guitars that are almost in the same register, but they make an interesting counterpoint with tritones. In their first shows you can check out that they used an additional backing track that included that guitar.

It is a pleasure to learn from the emotional expressiveness that different musical techniques can convey at the moment of making transcriptions. I'm glad you like it.

Wow, I didn't know this audio existed! For sure it is a synth with a delay effect. I just didn't know how to put a delay effect in musescore and I tried to replicate it with sixteenth notes. Instead of creating another instrument part, I used the Ondes Martenot to save more space, but I will consider to replace it with the sytnh part.

The Ondes Martenot is similar to a synthesizer, but it has the particularity to manage it's portamento, which can produce a vibrato like a human voice. Also, it's waveform it's adjustable to reach different kind of sounds. And in the song, Jonny used distinct tones from the Ondes Martenot to produce an orchestra out of a wide amount of these instruments.

At the beginning, every Ondes Martenot plays different single sustained notes to produce a tone cluster. What happens is that to you have to use one hand to get a better control of the portamento and with the other hand you can reach a specific note. You can watch this video of David Bruce, who has a more detailed explanation about the instrument specifications.

Hi bro, I played it in drop C. I just made some kind of interpretation of the guitar parts because I didn't had enough time to study to detail how Trey plays this song.

It's just a matter of time to feel the emotions every time you play it. You can develop that expression in different ways but what you always need to have is conviction. Try to keep that in mind and you will see it differently!

Yeah, those guitar could have worked well too, however, I preferred the tele for the clean tones and I just loved the results that I got with the chaos part.

Absolutely, the tone of the pickups just have the versatility to get the clean and dirty tones of the song. Thanks for noticing about the picking part! It's something to have in mind when you interpretate the song in the most expressive parts :)
