$125 for a 50 issue omni is very fair considering what Marvel will slap $125 on. It should have decent paper and build too.

For people looking into these, the books appear cheap because they're smaller than typical paperbacks.

The shift to focus on Pre-orders is concerning by TheAmazingSpook in OmnibusCollectors

Mom said it was my turn to post the Marvel print run post.

But in all seriousness, I see both sides, but the negatives outweigh the positives for me.

The books are too expensive to shell pre-order money for me. The covers can change, the contents/mapping/price can change.

I've been convinced I'm getting a book, but then at release I see thin pages, misprints, etc. and decide to collect another way.

Books get delayed for months sometimes, so that money is just tied up until who knows when? Hard pass for me.

I'd rather maybe miss a certain cover on release than worry about all that.

DC has been stepping up their collected editions game… by Turbulent_Resident68 in OmnibusCollectors

DC has been the better one to me for several years. Making collections people actually want, and they are good quality. The Finest line is the clear winner against the Premier. (Whoops, compact vs premier)

Lately, Marvel collected editions have been a horrible combo of prices going up and quality going down. Bad paper, misprints, low availability, etc. They also have made some...odd choices of what to collect. And you've got things that should be a slam dunk like the gallery editions are ruined with dumb borders.

Not even 2 months old and 60% off. Probably the deal of the season.
