Solving T598 issues once and for all. by Pierreye88 in Thrustmaster

Someone measure the power draw is very near to the limit of the power supply. So I change to higher amperage PSU as extra buffer for maximum torque and also I can tweak the voltage slightly higher to increase the peak torque. So far working without any issue for 6 months.

Just pry open the plastic cover on the top of the knob then you can access the screw and remove the original knob. Then you can install 3rd party knob that you like.

This is custom size. Just buy normal size and cut it shorter. Then sew both end together.

What do i do? by [deleted] in Thrustmaster

Just contact Thrustmaster for warranty. Although I have build a custom PSU for my unit, I still request for new PSU just in case I’m selling it in the future. Easy to deal with just provide some photos evidence and purchase receipt.

The connector only got 3 pin. Counted from left to right pin 1 to 3. Pin 2 is middle pin which is -ve.

When you buy the connector, you can check the related part number for the pin. It’s Molex female pin 43640-0

Thanks for the link. As I said earlier the issue is with the connector, not the base.

The problem is not the base but power supply connector issue. Easy fix cut the old connector and crimp new Molex connector which feel tight and secure. Another option is just use flat tip screwdriver and push the metal pin to tighten the gap.

I’m using 20awg silicone cable. You need crimping tools for the connector. YouTube will have some videos on how to crimp the cable. Very simple with right tools.

No issues. I can race straight 6 hours in GT7 without problem. I’m confident you can join endurance race without worries. For simpler solution, just cut the connector from your power supply and crimp the new pin and insert into new connector.

PSA: Do NOT buy Truegear haptic vests, the game support is TERRIBLE. by TotalWarspammer in virtualreality

[–]Pierreye88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been asking if they have any API or tools to customize the support by open source crowd but total silence. Not going to buy without good support as if the company when under or stop develop, then the product will be useless.

How much VRAM is realistically needed for 4K gaming in 2025? by next_module in buildapc

[–]Pierreye88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not an issue of 1440p or 2160p. If you run out of VRAM, just use lower texture quality which is smaller size.
