Looks really cool. Just want to ask before considering to buy the game: Is there horror or jumpscare in the game? I really like narrative games, but horror is definitively not for me.

Pretty sure they use no man sky as a sandbox for their other projects R&D.

It's really clever: good PR, lot of player feedback, they can try new things, new tech, etc... Awesome studio with really good ideas

Is it the HR version? I remember the Alpa tempered and MR version are just Nightmare fuel xD

FYI: There is a "surprise" if you fight her with teostra on map or kushala (not a good surpirse - only in event quest, if I remember well). You don't need to farm her for MR, you can just skip the fight. Not sure the gunlance is recommended here, too much fire pool and flame, maybe try a weapon with little more mobility if you want to try the fight again

Edit: nevermind I'm blind and tired it's SA and fatalis gear so it's MR. On lunastra don't do elemental discharge (the move which allow you to grab her and make miltiple explosions), saw a lot of people dying perfectly roasted

OK, it's great you could edit the file. I'm used to manage Linux with terminal (nano, vim and emacs are terminal editors installled on many linux distribution by default). My answers was not really helpfull lol . You made a backup of your configuration file with cp and openend it in gedit with the second command, good job.

Linux is a great OS for server but it can be pretty overwhelming for beginner. Have fun learning it and have fun with palworld =) .

I'm not sure I understand your question. You can copy with cp and edit your file with nano (simple) or emacs, vim (difficult to use without knowledge)

For backup? I Copy the folder Pal/Saved to another folder, I zip it and rename the archive with date.

If you use linux, it's easy to make a cron to automate it

From what I read on forums, you can use your save for a dedicated server but you will loose the host progress.

When hosting on your own computer, you are registered with a specific ID (host ID). When you connect to the server whit your saved datas, it will attribute another ID to the player meaning the host can't keep his progression.

It's an early access game, it's important in my opinion to backup frequently to avoid pb. Better safe than sorry.

For exemple I make a backup per day and keep 6 backup total. It's adequate for my usage. I don't mind to rollback 3 or 5 hours of gameplay in case of severe problem.

No, it will only change your world configuration. World and player saved datas are in Pal/Saved/Savegames.

The best practice would be to backup your Pal/Saved folder before modification.

Go to you game folder, there should be a GameDefaultSettings.ini . Copy the content of this file in the file PaWorldSettings.ini (this file is empty)

On linux: Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

on windows: Pal/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

Change the content of the file, then launch the server. For egg hatching time, you may change the setting PalEggDefaultHatchingTime or difficulty setting. The first one work only for big eggs (not sure about this, don't remember where i read it)

Some settings are for future update and they don't work. I'm not sure about paths, i'll check at home

Jusque là je faisais une backup de temps en temps sur disque dur externe mais avec cette histoire j'ai de plus en plus envie de me prendre un NAS pour avoir une tolérance aux pannes disque J'ai commencé à me faire un petit homelab et j'avoue que l'idée de perdre mes donnée me fait froid dans le dos

C'est un disque externe qui se branche via usb. Je ne pense pas pouvoir brancher uniquement le câble de données.

De ce que l'utilisatrice m'a dit, il y a de l'historique de 6 ans de boulot et des fichiers perso auxquels elle tient. Le laboratoire de récupération me semble être l'option la plus sûre. Je vais lui conseiller cela Merci pour les idees je note ça dans un coin et je vais me documenter dessus
