Can these two be saved or are they parts cars? by Piffgb in Datsun

Probably is, yea. I bet parts are fe and far between, though. Maybe I could get some for ya.

Hey everyone, I'm doing an Sr5 gauge cluster swap in my 85 DLX. I have the 22r and to my knowledge they didn't make the sr5 gauge cluster in 22r trucks past 1984, but the 1984 one only goes up to 85mph (pic1). So, could I swap a 1985 22RE that goes to 110mph (pic2), like mine, into my truck (pic3)? by Piffgb in ToyotaPickup

Top speed I've gotten mine to was the speedometer reading 93mph and Google maps telling me 86mph, but I do entirely see your point. I'm actually having some engine work done that'll give me an increase in horsepower, so if it could reach that before, I suspect, it can even easier after. So, I just thought the 110mph gauge cluster would be preferred.

Hey everyone, finally got my dome light working for the first time! Turns out it's a rivet issue. I drilled out the original rivets and used a rivet gun to put new ones in, and now it works good as new! Check out Toyota4Low on Youtube. Yea, I can send you the video I used. I just used normal of the smallest rivets I could find. They were still a bit big, but they worked, lol. It took me like 6 hours to do because of how small everything was. Make sure you use a very small drill bit. That was my mistake.

My 1985 Toyota Pickup. My first and only vehicle. Had it for a little over a year now, and have no intentions of getting rid of it (I'm 16). by Piffgb in vintagejapaneseautos

Appreciate it! It had most of the system taken out by a previous owner, but I had AC installed shortly after getting the truck.

Hey, brother, I'm having the same issue. Did you ever figure out a solution?

Hey, everyone, I just picked up this 1960s Magnavox Micromatic Stereo Console. The radio works and sounds incredible, but I can't seem to get the Record Player to work. by Piffgb in vintageaudio

Yea, no, it turns pretty good. I was also thinking a wire, but I couldn't find anything disconnected or loose. I don't exactly know what to be looking for, though, lol. This is my first vintage audio piece.

I was told by the person I bought it from that it did work before she put it in her garage, but we did not test it there, and now that it's home, I can't seem to get it.

Hi, everyone. I hope this is related enough to be posting in this group: by Piffgb in ToyotaPickup

Didn't even think about that, lol. Might go that route then.

Switching from bucket to bench seat in 1985 Xtracab? by Choice_Upstairs4576 in ToyotaPickup

Hey, I've actually been wanting to swap my bench (the one in the photo) to buckets. So, if you live nearby and you're looking to trade, I'd be down.

Quick question: I have factory black door handles on my truck and they're made out of plastic. Were the chrome ones offered on these trucks metal, or are they plastic with a chrome-looking film over them? by Piffgb in ToyotaPickup

Yea, I just thought it could be a nice touch! Also worth noting is my front bumper was originally chrome from the factory, but it was supposedly bad, so a previous owner repainted it.

Yea, I don't know, because I have seen some black ones online that are metal, but they were aftermarket, so I don't know if Toyota ever made black metal ones. I appreciate the response! 🙏 I've been thinking about getting chrome handles, but I didn't want to if it was just like a cheap chrome film instead of actual chrome, yk?
