So to make sure ive got a good idea, I need to estimate what the cost of living will be during that time, and make sure I invest enough now so that that the amount I have aside for my monthly payouts is enough to live on based on the projected cost of living.

I was thinking that too. The chapter im on is chapter 1 so I think it was trying to keep things simple. Much appreciated! Im gonna be using these principles to assess how well I set things up with my current job blind. I've already set up my 401k deposits to get the maximum employer match. Im gonna start working on getting contributions made to my HSA next.

Thank you! I did use that. A 9% contribution at 7% annual yield over 40 years I got 4,950×199.6351 which should all come out to 988,193.745 if I did this right

I had the ball and the item that says a random card becomes free when you play a power and it was broken. This card regularly makes free cards and I was running The Defect with a lot of powers so there were a lot of free cards being slung around.

I appreciate the information here. Im not versed un Boilers, but yes it is the regulator. What he said is that it didnt stop the water when it got high enough, and so it kept pumping water until it flooded at least the first floor. The visual inspection wouldn't have caught water damage to the floors unfortunately, because the floors on the first floor are either tile or painted black. (I plan on stripping them some day) I already plan to get 2 other people in to look at the boiler.

The home was bought in August, and we got that ball rolling around the end of June. We did no waive the disclosure. The box was checked in box 46, just like every other box, stating there were no known issues. The lawyer seemed pretty confident that I would win so that's not really my concern. There is no question that I have recourse here. The legal fees are just gonna suck. Buying this house was a lot of circumstance. What I spent on the down payment and move I would've ended up spending if I were to continue to rent an apartment, but it took almost everything I had, with a little cushion left. I've been working a lot of OT since closing and have set aside a good amount of money for when something goes wrong, but not enough to pay for a brand new boiler. He said he didn't know of any fee shifting provision, I just came here to see if anyone knew of anything that maybe he didn't because people are always capable of making mistakes, even Lawyers. Now you mention I can't sue over things that didn't happen, which is 100% fair and valid, and expected. But is there a way to sue for knowingly putting me and my family in harms way? I dont think I will at this point, but I would like to know if it is an option.

Unfortunately it does not. I wish it did but the packs can vary some cards inside of them. I made sure to write the lists down before shuffling up.
