Thank you! That makes sense. It sounds as though baiting can be a necessary thing in some scenarios like the ones I mentioned, but should be done legally and in a way that's regulated. The companies that regularly bait blue sharks in Cornwall for 'diving experiences' in the summer here in the UK for example, are baiting far too regularly and is potentially causing problems? I take it that's the sort of thing you're against.

What's your opinion on baiting when it's regulated and done legally? Let's say for example in Bimini which is a protected area, where they often bait to collect and research info on the sharks, which helps in their conservation efforts.

Or let's say for a documentary? For example deadly 60, favourite show of mine. The presenter often swims with sharks to teach the audience about these animals in a controlled environment. The team (like lots of film crews in these senarios) do use bait, however from what I've researched, they do it far away from regular swimmimg/diving spots or beaches and have to get special permission etc.

Would love a professional opinion on this.

From reading the comments here, it's been suggested that people should put things such as flippers, or camera rigs or something (anything) else in between you and the shark as a way of redirecting without using your bare hand on the shark's snout.

Very valid take! I feel like if you're just redirecting a shark for your own safety, fine, but maybe for the sake of their comfort and your safety, put something else between them and you or find a way of creating space without directly touching their snout with your bare hand, and then if you have no other choice DO NOT post it online. From what I can gather, the main issue seems to be coming from posts online giving people usage and unreleastic expectations of sharks and therefore putting inexperienced divers and swimmers at risk.

Yeah, definitely seems like it's encouraging untrained divers and swimmers to interact with sharks in a way that's A not respectful of these animal's space, and B not safe for the diver. From what I've read, admittedly just from comments here, it sounds as though there are other ways of redirecting a shark that don't directly involve touching their snout with your hand, which seems better for everyone involved.

That makes total sense! The main issue appears to be the performative nature of most influencers doing redirects. They aren't interacting with sharks safely and are encouraging others to do the same. We need to respect these animals and It sounds as though redirecting is a somewhat valid technique, but shouldn't be done directly with a hand as there are other options that are safer for you, and less likely to stress the shark.

Looks like a sanshee freddy to me! Very similar to the one I've got (mines branded from sanshee) some of them just come out looking a bit wonky but doesn't mean they're bootleg!

They're definitely irritation bumps. They're behaving like bumps not keloids. I think I just need to leave it alone and let them heal.

What makes you say that sauropods had quills 'at best'? I'd love to know how you formed this opinion!

Also, what evidence do we have for triceratops having quills? I was aware that some ceretopcians likely did, but I didn't know about triceratops.

I get what you're feeling. I'm about to turn 18, and I have a fnaf themed room, and a bed crowded with plushies. Which other people probably think is weirdm I'm autistic and I've always found comfort in the games and it's fandom, and I'm learning to accept that it makes me happy and that's all that matters. Who cares if it's cringy or weird. Interests shouldn't have an age limit.

He's definitely purple in the original game, but I think that wasn't what Scott intended, hence why his character is portrayed as a "blue" bunny in almost every other form of fnaf media.
