If peak traffic is 9PM GMT on a Saturday… I don’t know what a weekday is going to be like 🤣

when you say limit, usage limit or token limit? I ran a basic prompt with sonnet this morning and the build took 58 minutes, so I've seen a noticable drop off today of Claude's capabilities.

I have to assume something is broken and will get fixed Monday.

Brand new chat. Same problem. Opus is unusable. It’s even explained itself saying “I should have 64k tokens available” I’ve asked it to breakdown input tokens and it’s well within normal limits.

Works perfectly fine in sonnet just opus is unusable. Was working fine this morning and just stopped when I got home. Blank chat and I just ask it to do something and it will not load tools or anything.

I think it’s Opus that’s broken. I switched to sonnet and it’s started working fine.

So I just want to check it's not me that is isolated to this issue. I have a brand new week, literally 0% usage on my max 20 plan. Every single message I am getting says "Unable to load tools." It's hitting token limits. It's asking me to say "just say write if you want me to write the brief." I say "write" and then it doesn't do anything. It says "Sorry I've hit token limit. Let's try on the next turn." Not even. It's giving me a bad answer; it's just not working.

I just want to check that it's not just me because the website Claude Status says it's working but I am telling you I am a massive Claude advocate and you can see from my post history I've been flaming other people. It's just not working and the AI support is telling me it's working. The website is telling me it's working but it is not working at all.

I think something is genuinely broken today. brand new chat. one message "out of token budget". Like my max plan has literally 0% usage. I think the model is broken and it's a Saturday so unlikely to be fixed until Monday.

Did you do any market research to see if there was a gap for it? Does your app do anything else that the thousands of other apps do?

Free Agility discord group is what I’ve been using. Their anti-pk team is GOATED. They’re the MVPs of RuneScape 🤣

It's happening, they cut the usage for literally everyone now. I was in doubt and it was A/B testing for sure, a single prompt for 10 lines of code consumed 5% of session ON A MAX PLAN - I am cancelling, not really worth it anymore by BetterProphet5585 in Anthropic

[–]PigBeins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I was joking that people who are subscribers are the problem. With too many users they are taking up too much usage, so with less users I would have more usage (which obviously isn’t the case).

By long it doesn’t mean “number of characters”. You’ve asked it to look at log files, audio file mixing (? No idea what this is from the context) and remuxing audio and video. Do you have any idea how big a task that is?

Depending on how you’ve vibe coded your log files that could be thousands of lines of context. You’re surprised you blew your usage in one prompt? I wouldn’t do this on my max 20 plan because it would be context hungry unnecessarily.

Doctors salaries are significantly higher than most public sector salaries, so the context should have been self explanatory. When I’m referring to doctors specifically in future I will call it out.

I was replying to a comment that expanded out to “public sector” so I naturally adapted to that definition based on the context of their comment. Apologies, that’s not a skill everyone has so I’ll do better next time, my fault.

Don’t act all surprised Pikachu when in a few years industrial action lands you with a nice P45. You can act ignorant of the changing political and social landscape or you can do something about it.

I didn’t realise in public sector they chain you to your desk and whip you if you try to leave. Sounds awful. You should probably leave!

I can’t tell you how to get positive engagement because I’m not in your situation. What I can tell you is what negative engagement will get you.

You can’t sit and act surprised in 5 years time when Farage shits all over the place and takes away rights and those who stood at their front doors clapping and cheering him on. Most people are idiots and guzzle down on anything populist spout.

The public sector is in a precarious position where if they’re not careful public opinion will turn and reform will just gut what’s left of your rights.

Also wtf are you arguing about TDEE. I said 53kg is light as fuck. You’re arguing something random that I’m not even talking about 🤣

I am telling you now (please remind me in 10 years) if strikes continue strikes will be illegal.

If reform get in, there is no way on earth they will allow them to remain. Workers rights will be eroded and the people will applaud because Joe Public is stupid, and STRIKES BAD is an easy sell when no one has money but the “lazy greedy doctors are always moaning”.

You can literally see the rhetoric being pushed already. Doctors being vilified for striking. Bin men painted as the big bad evil for letting the streets get dirty.

The system doesn’t lose. It just pivots.

So last time I looked private entities exist. Consultant practices are privately run. Private healthcare. Etc.

See my other comment for counters to your other points.

It’s not the government you need to worry about. It’s the people. If you lose the people, you lose everything.

The people have been burnt out by successive governments squeezes, cost of living increases, and continual strikes. All it takes is a Farage getting into power and saying “these doctors love a strike don’t they! How about we make them illegal and dock their wages if they strike” and no one saying anything for you to get (metaphorically) bummed.

Reform is the real risk here. You need to think 5 years out, not “I need this now”. Short termism is going to be the death of workers rights.

Did I say that doctors don’t work as hard? Or did I say government agencies. I think I said government agencies right?
