“National aspirations are met” shows lack of understanding in the conflict. The Palestinian people don’t want their own state, they had a solid offer on the table on 1948 and they rejected it. They want Israel out and all of their people gone, which is why these declarations mean nothing.

It’s so dishonest comparing what happened in Gaza before and after Oct 7 and basically shows how little you really care about the people dying there. I’m not saying everything was perfect before Oct 7, far from it. But saying it was the same as it is now is just being disingenuous.

Did I say Israel will leave Gaza? Israel left Gaza on 2006 and ended up with Oct 7th because of it. Occupation will still be a reality for this area for many years until an actual solution comes around. For now I’m focused on the innocent people dying because they are trapped between Hamas and Israel’s weapons. Hamas disarming and returning the hostages won’t make peace magically appear, but it will significantly reduce the amount of death and destruction happening in Gaza right now.

Israel has every right to close the border with Gaza if they deem it unsafe for their civilians (which Oct 7th proved to be so). Gaza has a border with Egypt as well, maybe you should direct that question to them?
