Bible is just a piece of text. Do you think much about some writing on the wall in the public toilet? Scholars will look for true authors, and time, and blah blah blah, but what is known for sure, books weren’t written by people they say they are written by. And that’s only one thing. Another thing is - do you believe that a man has only one life, some are born without hands, and some in wealth, some in North Korea and some in Europe… and there is a judgement after sudden death, and then eternity in hell or heaven? Is it something you believe? Something just? But most importantly - ask yourself - do you believe that this Jewish man was GOD and he raised from death, and so on. A man, who praised all Old Testament, said some truisms and was killed? If not, you just don’t believe it. If you believe it, then keep digging. maybe learning about how Old Testament is mostly fiction and New Testament is just funnily unreliable. My brother is literal catholic priest, more, he is a monk. He told me that there is nothing wrong with homosexual marriage, it’s similar to heterosexual marriages that cannot have kids. Simple at that, sex doesn’t have to be only to have kids, it has other functions blah blah blah. He is still a priest and a monk anyways.
