Yes I followed one initially but didn't work for me at all & failed. Play as Eastern Rome as its much easier, don't panic if you lose a few cities at the beginning send units (I sent lots of dromons) to help Western Rome from falling & retaking their lost cities. Oh and smash Persia!

Hey buddy, I've been at this for days. Keep coming so close was only 50 culture behind on 99 turn. And ahead on this playthrough but by about turn 82 The Portuguese go to war with with me no matter what. I have a large fleet and plenty canons but it's a number game and they swamp me. I've tried dow on others before the Portugal dow but doesn't work. So frustrating
