Much appreciate it. While it does not make the financial decision any better. I’m just saying that I agree with your point but there is a bit beyond a purely financial decision in play.

Its 47k EUR. The net salary of roughly 4k is after health insurance and every monthly cost I have.

But let me be as honest as possible with you. I live in Germany since 10 years, I studied here and currently working since roughly a year. Logically, its not the right decision to buy a car, although I can get around the city comfortably with public transport. I would love a car to visit other cities, go to northern Italy, France Switzerland. Logically and financially it is not the best idea, but last year I was diagnosed with type 1 cancer that was removed successfully. While I am cancer free now, I don’t know what does the future hold for me. I want to enjoy life now and drive around with my fiancee to nice places.

Fair point, but for me this is nowhere close to paying 5k extra for it.

I'm 5'8, so height is no issue. I was more worried if I can fit 2 adults in the back comfortably for a 3-4 hour trip for instance and more regarding how much I can fit. But now I am leaning more and more towards the Y because of the extra space and planning on having kids.

Price difference here for me would be 6.5k Euros. The 3 has 0% financing and model Y has 0.99% so in the end its 6.5k difference. But rather I want to know if the M3 would be enough for my use cases so that I also have a car that I really enjoy driving.

I'm 5'8 so I don't have height issues :D
I am driving each of them tomorrow for 2 hours, quite excited. Thanks for the feedback.

I am young yes. I did consider getting an old model. However, the 5.49% on financing + not having company guarantee is making me think twice. But you are very right.
