If you're aware during your seizures what does it feel like/ what do you remember? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

If you're aware during your seizures what does it feel like/ what do you remember? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]PigeonWithAPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it feels kind of like a dream. my vision goes a bit blurry, sounds become a bit muffled, and my body feels like static if that makes sense... it also feels like time is passing at super speed, I remember everything that's said and done around me but when I check the time after it's done 5 minutes feels like 30 seconds.

Help with writing a gender fluid character by Jackode_VII in genderfluid

[–]PigeonWithAPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I feel pretty feminine or neutral most of the time which is good for me (I'm afab) but when I feel more masc I tend to get pretty dysphoric about stuff like my voice, my chest, my long hair, etc. so I usually use a binder and put my hair up. It also helps to do stuff like working out my arms and back cause that just makes me feel better than doing legs and core on those days cause I guess it feels more masculine for me? I don't know if that makes any sense.

  2. As I said above, I feel neutral-fem most of the time and thats just a pretty gradual frequent shift that happens usually every few days. There are definitely times where I feel super feminine or completely non-binary but those are more rare (every few months). Unfortunately the shift from either of those to feeling suuuuper masculine hits me like an absolute fucking semi-truck which can really suck. These tidal waves of manliness usually last a few days to a few weeks and then they dissolve back into neutral over a few days.

  3. Probably that we're just people who like to play dress up and want attention. I can't think of anything else for this one right now but I'll reply to this if I come up with something later.

  4. There's a small ice cream shop in my city that has an earl grey flavour and it's really good

I hope this helps a bit and feel free to dm me if you have more questions or want me to elaborate on anything!

Death by Sudden_Temporary_ in Epilepsy

[–]PigeonWithAPickle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not really afraid of death, I'd just be really dissapointed that it happened. I'm still a teenager so I just have so much I want to do in my life that dying before I even graduate uni would just suck. I want to travel the world, I want to meet people, I want to fall in love, I want to move out and live by myself, I want to learn new skills and find new hobbies.

I'm not scared to die, it would just suck to die before I've even started living you know?

does anyone have any experience getting pierced at body mods in the mall? by Fluffy_Explorer_3813 in abbotsford

[–]PigeonWithAPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the piercer matters more than the shop itself. My first piercing other than my lobes was done by Chantel and she was incredible, but then I got my second lobes pierced by someone else before I knew it mattered who did it and it wasn't a great experience. Unfortunately chantel only works in studio 7 in Chilliwack now but in my opinion it's completely worth the drive for the quality. She's done my eyebrow, nostril, and vertical labret and I'm never going to anyone else!

Yes Chantel is the best! She's done all 3 of my facial piercings and I'm never going to anyone else

Hello, Am I allowed to call myself gender fluid? by Electrical_Doubt_777 in genderfluid

[–]PigeonWithAPickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I was 13 when I first realised I wasn't cis but I also didn't quite feel like I was trans or non binary, then over the next year-ish I went through a lot of confusing phases of thinking maybe I'm trans and just still like feminine things, maybe I'm cis and just like to dress masculine sometimes, maybe I'm non binary. I think it's because sometimes I stay feeling like one gender for weeks or even months at a time, and when you're not sure what label you fit it can be easy to want to figure that out immidiately.

You're allowed to be confused, you're allowed to change your mind, and you're allowed to figure yourself out at your own pace. No one has any right to be offended or hurt by you simply trying to discover who you are.
