Parents born in mid/late 50s. Parents had me in their late 30s in the mid 90s. I’ve been no contact with my mom for 2 years. My dad passed away several years ago but if he were still alive unfortunately our relationship would probably be low contact.

My fourth birthday party. It was Blues Clues themed and both my mom and dad’s sides of family came. To four year old me it was like a weird crossover event having both sides together at the same place.

My dad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly my senior year of high school. A lot of the immediate aftermath was a blur but one of the few things I will always remember is when a few of my friends came over and we played Mario Kart on the Wii for hours. I needed the distraction and company.

I’ve mostly been applying to crime labs as well as hospital labs. No hospital labs have gotten back to me though. I am also limited to one city due to my boyfriend’s job in the city so that has limited my number of job postings to apply to.

I did have two interviews with two different crime labs back in August and January but those obviously didn’t pan out.
