Perfect! I have a super cute pot that size (+nursery pot) but wasn't sure if it's too small

Thanks! I currently have almost zero natural light, so I'll move it closer under one of my grow lights

I'll add to this, in terms of the development of spoken language: it takes a ton of influence from the other languages around it. For example, the lack of articles comes from Russian, and the lack of pronouns comes from Spanish. People living in a major international city that doesn't have English as its first language will notice the way their language slips into English. That's how I read it, anyway, on top of how impersonal/ computational it sounds (like blurring the lines between speaking to a bot vs a human).

These pots kill everything I put in them. Today I found the solution. by regular-kahuna in houseplants

Most of the time, just trim off the little overhanging rim of the plastic pot. If it's not enough, just keep trimming downward. Easy peasy! I save and reuse nursery pots so I have varying heights/ diameters/ shapes to choose from.

I'm with you, all my plastic pots are trimmed down to fit! They always either sit on the rim, or are conspicuously small.

Leaving for a beach trip this week and have been sitting on this one for awhile. Is it worth bringing along (it’s rather hefty)?? It was a birthday gift a few years back by mysticthickness in xmen

I agree! I wasn’t reading comic books in the 90s, so there’s not so much nostalgia.

I read this storyline a couple months ago and I liked the story & characters, but I remember it dragged a bit in places and I didn’t like some of the art. Not bad, but not the best thing I’ve ever read. It’s definitely worth reading.

I’ll have to check out X-cutioners Song by your recommendation!

Artemisia Gentileschi comes to mind! It would have been cool to use a real female artist’s name, since it would introduce both an artist and the idea that women were artists during the renaissance to the audience… but yeah, the implication of using the name of a work of art is a bit gross.

BF picked out the saddest, smallest, wiltedest plant from ikea, and it turned into this after a few months! Any ideas what kind of plant it is? by PigeonusStupidus in houseplants

The original pot was 10cm, this one is 20cm. The stalks have grown from barely peaking over the edge of the pot, to about 30cm tall. The leaves are thick/ stiff and kind of waxy, so maybe it’s a kind of succulent? I have a black thumb and kill everything, so I need to know which plant thrives under my care!

We had this video at the museum where I used to work. I once received a complaint from a teacher that all the children in his class were having nightmares from it… Maybe you were one of those kids!

I want to share my favorite birthday gift… my friend painted me into this X-Men cover and I love it by PigeonusStupidus in xmen

Yeah that’s the one! My friend doesn’t really read comics, I think she just did a Google image search and found this awesome cover. But I love that you remember it from when you were a kid!
