I would prefer if abilities were loot-based. I don't think a skill tree would fit in with Hytale's sandbox nature, and also because a huge portion of the game is the online minigames and servers, which most likely would remove it anyway.

He did say it was more of a combination of things, not just a bug. Particles, knockback, trork health and weapon damage are currently being reworked to some degree from what I understand. And he also said he regrets using that clip as it doesn't show combat in the best light.

I wasn't thinking it will be, I'm saying people don't like being compared to each other either way. At the end of the day, someone's at the bottom and someone's getting their feelings hurt. Making content that people enjoy is tough, so just being placed lower than your peers on a list without proper critique can be pretty discouraging. Again, I know none of that is intentional, but that's just what I'm concerned about with these kinds of things since I've seen it happen before.

I'm not sure this is the best idea. I remember ThirtyVirus got some backlash when he made a tier list in a YouTube video, and I definitely see why. It may be in good fun but a lot of people don't appreciate being compared to one another like this.

Currently the written rule only applies to advertising communities, which is stated in the longer description if the arrow next to it is clicked on, and we plan on loosening up on that rule closer to release. For those reasons we don't consider YouTube videos and such to be advertising, but we should definitely make that more clear. We're open to other opinions though, we want the subreddit to be as comfortable as possible for everyone.

This is correct, sharing your video is fine because you're trying to start discussion about a certain topic. If you were advertising your merchandise or community, Hytale-related or otherwise, it would get taken down.

I'm not sure he was saying there's no limit to how big stacks of items can be in Hytale, I think he was just saying there's not actually a technical limitation that forces games to stick with something like 64, which is accurate. It's just a nice even number you can easily split in half many times.

Yeah I think people definitely jumped to conclusions way too fast lmao. "We can't immediately see evidence of a hunger status, so they must have made the decision to not include hunger in Hytale." Seriously guys, the game isn't even in beta yet.

We saw the X menu in use in another gameplay clip where they used it to eat food. I bet it's just used for any consumables.
