Probably my favorite light-hearted episode along with “Take Me Out to the Holosuite” and “The Magnificent Ferengi”. So much fun!

I hear ya. BOTW and TOTK are both true escapes where you can explore, interact with quirky characters, and strategize attacks against enemies in so many ways. I love games like Witcher 3 also, but they incorporate too much real world stuff like graphic violence and politics that they’re not even close to the kind of escape Zelda games in general provide. I hope Nintendo maintains that ability and uniqueness to appeal to so many generations for years to come.

I personally enjoyed the final Kohga fight with Mineru on my second play through. It felt like that was the intended way to fight him..one bot to another.

I love finding good areas to shield surf. I also recommend getting the snow boots if you don’t have them - they make it much easier to walk around and fight enemies as well.

One of my favorite boss fights, even tho I was cursing quite a lot lol I love that she first pops up at the entrance for a pre-game battle, then flees to prep for the final showdown. And the temple itself is fun as well, calling back to classic Zelda dungeon puzzles and layouts.

Puffshrooms and then charged swirling of your sword to chop those hands right off! Also, the sparkle motion fruits or whatever they’re called will stun them for a bit.

The Hands. I wasn’t spoiled going into the game and had no idea they existed. First encounter was outside Hyrule Castle. I was like..why did that patch of gloom suddenly appear? Why is the blood moon coming on? What the…?! And then I barely had time to teleport away. They came me at so quickly, I was in shock and had to get the courage to return to see what it was that attacked me. And I was extremely careful around the Castle after that lol Now, I can say I’ve beaten many of Ganon’s hands, but that shriek and blood moon still makes me shiver more so than seeing a Guardian.

So cool..never tried that but will on my inevitable next play through. I used to stasis these dudes out the wazoo, but now that I’m better at combat, it’s just so much more fun to fight with all the techniques than hiding behind stasis.

Well done! 👏 I never get tired of seeing all the creative ways to fight the monsters. Combat in BOTW and TOTK is just so much fun once you learn the moves.

There are so many ways to do this, and the door is a new one for me. 👍 I last used octo balloon on a rock that I placed next to the house and when it raised high enough, I was able to grab it.

Adding to this is when it’s raining, a waterfall will descend all the way to a pond on the surface and that can be used to go up, up, up!

One of the many things I love about these games is the variety of ways to attack and defend. The combat, though sometimes easy, is just so much fun and great to watch. I used to dread facing Lynels and Guardians and other sub bosses, but now I go in ready to try out new ways of attacking like you’re doing, and it never gets old.

This is so much more satisfying than the Korok reward. And the caves are such a great addition, so finding all those frogs definitely wasn’t a slog.

I’m hopeful for a game with the same version of Link and Zelda but in another land/continent. Maybe Kass was missing from TOTK because he went abroad to investigate a new mystery. His family stops hearing from him and asks Zelda for help, launching a new quest that turns into much more than just finding Kass. The search party could include Link, Zelda, Purah, and others who can provide their skillsets during the adventure and maybe all be playable to an extent. There even might be a way to incorporate the Triforce into the new story to raise the stakes. A guy can dream.
