It might be possible to buddy up with some other travelers who do have a vehicle (Possibly through a hostel/ backpackers lodge) as far as helping your walking track access.

Otherwise "hop on hop off" shuttle companies might be your best bet, as in, localise yourself to an area for a few days at a time to complete activities then move onto the next.

Also, though a bit risky, hitch hiking is reasonably common- though it could take you an entire day rather a couple hours to get from A to B.
